Fuck Chris's orders

STEPHANIE'S POV.

I was distracted and carried away with the situation I found myself in. I forgot that today was my 18th birthday.The day I have been waiting for all my life,the day I would finally become an adult.

I had so many expectations for my 18th birthday but everything was ruined in just a day.

I wish I didn't wake up from sleep that particular day. I woke up to that terrible news that my father was dead.it would have been better if I just died while sleeping.

"What am I even thinking?"I am not okay.I am fed up,I am tired of acting like I am strong while I am breaking inside.

I couldn't control the tears that were escaping my eyes right now.It was pouring down my cheeks and soaking my dress.

I lay on the bed and cried till no tears could come out again.

I heard the door open and I got up to know who it was.I looked to see a Maid holding a tray of food.

"Ma'am,your food is ready"she said to me and I frowned.Food is not what I needed right now.

"I am not hungry,"I said to her in a calm tone.

"Sir Chris ordered that I should make sure you eat"she said to me and I felt anger rising in me.

"Are you deaf?I said that I am not fucking hungry so get out of my face with that damn food"I yelled at her and she ran out of the room immediately.

I was held captive like a slave who didn't have right or freedom to do anything,he can force me to do what he wants but he can't force me to eat.I believe I have the right to decide if I would eat or not.At this point,this was the only right I had and I will exercise it well."fuck Chris's orders".

Few moments later,the door opened and a woman came in with the same maid.I could remember her face clearly,she was the woman with the strict face.the one that treated me harshly and said mean words to me the day she came with her girls to dress me up for the wedding.

"I heard you don't want to eat"she said to me,her eyes sharp as she stared at me.I wasn't going to let her intimidate me again. I don't know why she is rude to me but I didn't care.in this world, it's not everyone that would like you.Some people can just hate you for no reason at all and I won't try to please anyone.

"So?"I voiced out and she rolled her eyes at me.

"Sir Chris ordered us to make you eat so you have to eat and make our job easier for us"she said to me and I rolled my eyes at her this time around.

She approached me immediately and tried to slap me but I caught her hands before it could land on my cheeks.

"Don't ever try to lay your filthy hands on me again,you are just a nobody acting all high and mighty"I said to her and she gritted her teeth.

"Don't be rude to me,you are just a teenager,you should learn how to respect your elders if you want to survive in this world"she said to me.
