Chapter 17: Evacuation

Cassandra POV:

I ran to the door and opened it quickly. After having a heartfelt conversation with Dome inside the car before, I sort of trusted him now. So, I did not felt hesitated at all to open the front door when he called me out.

"What happened?" I asked while my hand clenched on the cardigan right in front of my chest to cover my revealing collarbone.

Well, technically the sleeping gown that I wore before was like a thin singlet. It was not see-through but still too sexy to go out like that. Before Dome could answer me, the PA system of the building made a baffling announcement.

"Attention! Attention to all residents of Rosette Apartment. Please leave your units immediately within fifteen minutes. I repeat! Leave your units immediately in fifteen minutes! We received a lethal threat that there's a bomb inside the building. It might blow out any moment now. Leave the building immediately and use the stairs!"

What? A bomb? My eye widened as I stared at Dome in disbelief. He notic
