It had to be him. The fact that he ran away when he realized that Bernardo had found out the hideout of the rogues further proved my suspicion. He had a hand in it. Either he was trying to start a revolution and try to take over power from Bernardo or he was collecting money from them.

“But he isn’t the beta of that sub-pack,”

I said to myself. I couldn’t forget the fact that the part where the women had been found was a part of the pack that had no beta. I still couldn’t believe Bernardo had left a part of the pack unsupervised. I still wondered where the old couple had gone and why their once beautiful mansion turned into the hideout of rogue wolves.

Not just that, how come no one in the sub-pack suspected anything? Maybe because the mansion was on its own close to the mountains. Maybe the old couple moved and no one was living in the house.

“I don’t know. I should sleep,”

I let out and closed my eyes. Honestly, I had no business thinking about pack matters or what goes on
