Chapter 15 – My Wife
(Alexander’s POV)
Kayleigh sleeps like an angel, and I could not help but smile when she sighs and murmurs my name and her lips curving a smile as she calls my name. When she cried this morning, not knowing what to do with her family, I took advantage of staying with our marriage for a while. I just didn’t anticipate it would get out of control.
It was my birthday yesterday, but I did not expect heaven to give me such a wonderful gift, an innocent, bubbly, witty, and beautiful woman, yet it would be unfair for us to be trapped in this marriage when we both know our hearts belong to someone else. Hers to Sebastian, and Zyra holds mine.
I stand up, making sure not to wake up Leigh and take my phone with me in the bathroom. This place seems to be the safest place to talk to Chase. I dialed his number, and he answered right away.
