(Leigh’s POV)
“Are we gonna bet who will breathe first, Elle?” Alfie asked.
“Or maybe,” Elle giggled as she moved her head closer to Alfie. “Who will blink first? Why play that game anyway? What for?”
I put down my hand and sighed heavily as I gazed at them. “Did they leave already?” Thinking of Bernard and Alaska exhausted me. My nostrils flared as I asked them in an impatient tone.
“Uh-huh!” Alfie answered, not looking at me as he played the video on his cellphone and showed it to Elle. “I had my proof just in case anyone of them denied their shape.”
I slumped on my seat, crossing my arms on my chest while I tucked my tongue into my cheeks. Thinking he would show a rock, I threw a paper shape, but he surprised me with a scissors shape.
