“Don’t be funny, Alex,” I gritted my teeth, forcing a smile as I glanced at Alaska and Bernard. “Don’t overdo it because it’s not funny.”

Alaska looked annoyed already, half-closing her eyes as she glared at the manager. Of course, she knew the owner of the restaurant, so the ‘Alex Joke’ being one of the owners won’t work.
