Xander’s POV

Fate? What kind of bullshit was my dick spouting. I should’ve just invited her home for another fuck session.

I took Angel home and sat down on the couch. Angel ran in a few circles before settling down in her dog bed. Wesley was still hassling me about going back home to take care of my duties, but I was enjoying being on vacation. Being a prince was a lot of work, and I didn’t care for it. If they were so eager to get things done, they should’ve gone to my brother, James, and asked him to be next in line for the throne. He was always eager to please mother and father.

I licked my lips, thinking about Julia’s hot body. Damn, I need to get laid again. I wish she had taken me up on my offer of getting her phone number.

I opened up my phone and scrolled through my contacts. I wonder if there’s any brunettes who would be willing to come over right now? I settled on Mandy; she had big tits and brown hair like Julia. She would do.

I sent her a text to see if she wanted to come over and she immediately replied “yes.”

I checked my nightstand to make sure I had a box of condoms and then I laid on the bed to await her arrival. Thirty minutes later, the doorbell rang. Angel barked at the noise and growled at Mandy when I opened the door. She was all bark and no bite.

“Is that thing going to bite me?” Mandy asked in a disgusted tone.

I scoffed. What a bitch, calling my baby a thing.

“You know what, Mandy. You can go home. Thanks anyway.” I slammed the door in her face and ignored her ringing the doorbell over and over. I picked up Angel and gave her pets. No one could compete with Angel. I rescued her one day when I saw her get dumped in a dumpster. The poor thing was scrawny and hungry. I took her home and immediately became attached. I named her Angel because she was perfect. My little white piece of heaven.

After Mandy gave up and left, I went to the kitchen and poured myself some blood wine, sipping the liquid. It wasn’t fresh from the vein, but it would do, for now.

I thought about Julia again. Angel didn’t bark at her, she seemed to accept her, normally she barks at strangers.

I hmm’d while I sat back on the couch with my wine glass. I decided to call up Wesley.

“Sire, have you come to your senses?” He asked. I laughed heartily, “I need you to do some research for me. A woman who went to Josie’s bar last night named Julia. Brown hair, blue eyes, short. Can you do that?”

He sputtered before speaking, “you have interest in a female? Is the world ending?”

“Can you do it or not?” I asked him slowly.

“Of course! I’ll find out everything for you! Your mother would be thrilled to hear this news.” Wesley said.

“Don’t say anything to my parents about this. It’s none of their concern.” I told him. After he agreed, I hung up the phone and continued to drink my blood wine.

Julia. Julia. You have no idea yet but, you’re a fly caught in my web. I sat on the couch for hours thinking about her. Obsessing over her. I think I want her; nobody has ever turned me down before.

Wesley sent me an email a few hours later with a background report of Julia.

Julia Love

At the bottom of the report was a note from Wesley.

Let me know if you need more information.

I sent him a message back, “get me information on Ray Moore.”

“Will do.” Wesley immediately answered.

I started to concoct a plan to get her attention. I would slowly immerse myself in every aspect of her life. She can’t resist me forever. After all, I had eternity to play.

Ray’s POV

I missed Julia greatly. I was trying to get it up for this blonde on her knees, but she just wasn’t cutting it. I pushed her off my lap and stood up.

“Sorry, you gotta go.” I told her.

“But baby-,”

“Nope, sorry.” She stood up and fixed her clothes before walking out the hotel room. I should’ve never let May and Henry drag me to the bar. I laid down on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. “Julia, I’m sorry.” I said to the empty room. I turned on my side and decided to get some sleep.

When I woke up the next morning, I grabbed my keys and wallet and left.

I drove until I came to a coffee shop and decided I need a cup. I got out of my car and walked in. I ordered a black cup of coffee and sat down. Still pondering over life. My phone rang, the id said Dad. I answered quickly. “What’s up old man?” I asked him.

“Seeing if you broke up with Nancy’s daughter.” He said gruffly.

I chuckled dryly, “yes, old man. So, when is the wedding?”

“In six months, we’ll have the wedding here in Florida before we move down to Texas. Nancy already invited her daughter. I expect you and your brother to be there.”

“I’ll be there, not sure about Quentin, though. You know how he kind of does his own thing.” I said.

“Yeah, yeah, I’ll make him go, don’t you worry. Anyway, you did good, son. I’ll talk to you later.” He hung up first and I went back to my cup of coffee, sipping the hot liquid.

The bell above the door dinged, signaling someone entering. In came a large guy with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes, I wouldn’t have normally noticed except he seemed to be staring at me.

“Can I help you, buddy?” I asked

“Nope.” He laughed before going to the counter to order. I don’t need this shit. I got up and left the coffee shop. I don’t know what his deal was, but something seemed off. I made my way back to Henry and May’s place and walked in the front door.

“You sly dog!” Henry whistled at me as soon as I made it inside.

“It’s not what you think.” I told him.

“Ah, ah, you don’t have to explain yourself to me.” He said with a shit-eating grin.

“Leave the poor man alone.” May said from next to him on the couch. I waved them off and went to the guest room and threw myself down on the bed. I buried my face in the pillow and groaned. This was going to be harder than I thought.

Julia’s POV

I woke up on Saturday morning, thankful it was the weekend. I didn’t know if I could face my students in this state.

I made myself a cup of coffee and sat down, willing my mind not to go to Ray. I miss him greatly. I instead allowed myself to let my thoughts wander to Xander. I don’t know why I couldn’t get him out of my mind. It was like a spell was cast and it scared me. I decided to get dressed and head to the local bookstore to look at books. When I was dressed and ready, I got in my car and drove.

When I arrived, I walked in, the fresh smell of paper filled the air, and I was in heaven. I started looking around until I came to the supernatural, fiction section I browsed the titles and began to reach for one when someone else’s hand reached out at the same time.

“Ooops, sorry.” I said.

“It’s okay,” a familiar voice answered. I looked up to see Xander smiling down at me.

“What are you doing here?” I asked him.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m buying books.” He said.

“You read?” I asked curiously.

“Yes, if you want, you can accompany me to lunch, and we can talk some books over.”

I mulled over his proposition. It seemed harmless enough, and I was feeling quite lonely.

“Okay, let’s go. Just let me buy this one first.” I told him.

After I bought the book, we decided to meet up at Moe’s diner. We took separate cars upon my insistence.

Lunch went by in a flash. We laughed a lot, and he was very insightful with the titles we discussed. He loved Shakespeare and I loved Anne Rice. I enjoyed them both and we had a lot to say about both authors.

“Imagine if vampires were real.” He said.

“I think they wouldn’t be able to hide. Not with social media and the news. It would be very hard to keep their existence hidden.” I told him. I didn’t believe in magic and fairytales.

“I think they would be able to. It would be so interesting, a completely new world, right under the tip of your nose.”

“I suppose it would be interesting, but it’s not practical and not real.” I replied. He grinned at me and next thing I knew; he was leaning down to kiss me. Our lips met and moved together. Before things could get heated, I pulled away.

“What was that for?” I asked him, still in a haze.

“I wanted to. I go for the things I want.” He answered happily.

“I see, well don’t surprise me like that.” I told him. He winked at me and smiled, melting my heart a little.

“It’s time for me to go now. Thank you for lunch.” I told him.

“I’ll see you around, Julia.” He told me as I walked away.

Jack’s POVI never saw myself as a hero, but I knew in my heart that I had to do this for Julia. I knew she wasn’t going to choose me, but I had to help. If becoming a badass creature was what I needed to do, I would do it.Travis tried to talk me out of it, but I had made up my mind. James seemed eager to have my help.“There’s a full moon in a couple of days, we will turn you into a wolf first and after you change on the full moon, we’ll give you vampire blood and kill you. It’s easier to do it this way versus making you a vampire first.” James explained to me.We went to the alpha and asked him to bite me. I wasn’t looking forward to this part. He changed into a large brown wolf and bit at my arm, making it bleed a lot. Shit, that fucking hurts.“Now we wait. You’ll change on the full moon and then we can move on to the next step. That will also give us a coupe of weeks to train you to fight.” James told me.I nodded my agreement. I couldn’t help but feel I was in over my head, but

What are you doing here?” A tall man asked me. I looked him up and down and didn’t recognize him, but Julia told me about him, said his name was Cody and he helped us out before.“Julia is in trouble.” I told him.“What can I do to help?” He asked quickly.I explained to him about my plan to kill the ancient ones who ruined our lives, Claudia and Eric. As long as they were alive, we wouldn’t be able to find happiness.I need help getting the materials and forging the sword. He took me to consult with the witch doctor about the materials and she informed us it would take one month to make.“Are you serious?” I asked her again.“Yes, they aren’t easy materials to find and the recipe that you gave me needs time to meld together properly. Then we can forge the sword out of it. It’ll take one month to complete the pr

She hugged me tightly and started to cry.“How is this possible? You’ve come back!” She cried out.“We met by chance. Jack’s POVI knew him the moment he walked into the classroom. He was James, the father of Julia’s son. He was an idiot if he didn’t realize there was an exact clone of him right next to him.I became moody. So, he’s back in her life. That must be why she seemed so distracted, and I haven’t seen her at the bar.I’ll admit I was having daydreams about having her all to myself. For the first time in my life, I wanted something, but I have been too much of a coward to do something about it. I braced myself; I knew it was wrong as her son’s teacher, but I would pursue her. She opened up to me the other night, that had to count for something. She told me things that I could tell she hadn’t told a lot of people.I knew I needed to go after her, otherwise I would regret it.I decided to send her a text to see if she wanted to come over later. Julia’s POVI slept with James and oh my God it was electric. Every time we come together there’s a powerful connection.“Baby, don’t leave yet, I need you again.” James pleaded.I gave in one last time before I had to get ready to take little James to school. Thank God vampires don’t need sleep. His touch lit my nerves on fire, and I was panting from the heat. I wanted more. I didn’t want this night to end, afraid that he’ll change his mind.“Baby, after you drop your son off at school, let’s get to know each other a little better.” James smiled at me.“I’d like that.” I told him.I hurriedly showered off our love making and got dressed, running out the door with little James to get him to school on time.I said hi to Jack as I dropped him off and Jack stopped me for a minute.“Yes?” I asked, confused what he needed.“Julia, are you okay? You seem distracted.” He asked.“I’m alright.” I told him.He grabbed my arm gently, “you can talk to me if you need to. I know everything, remembe
