I don’t know when and how I fell asleep last night. Kisses woke me up, making me turn to the other side but before I could continue with my sleep the event of the previous day came back making me jump up and sit up. Mason was next to me with a gigantic smile on his face and for the first time since we have known each other, his smile disgusted me. This thing in front of me is not my friend, this is not the Mason I know, and what hurts is that I don’t even know the stranger before me.
“Good morning, sweetheart.” I look away from him. “Good morning.” He caresses my arm and goosebumps appear on my skin. “Mason, please refrain from touching me,” I tell him with a stern voice, I am tired of this nonsense, yesterday I played along because I was still weak and could not fight but not today.
