Six months have passed, and everything in the pack has been going well. Zoe was three months pregnant and has been more distant than ever. No one knew what was bothering her, Luka tried talking to her, but she would just tell him she is okay. JP suggested he let her be and she will talk when she is ready. He told his alpha to just be there for her and Luka has been doing that.
It was lunchtime, and he went to their room to bring her lunch as he always does since she started locking herself in the room. When he came in, she was not in the room, but the balcony door was open, he went there and found her staring at the treeline like she has been doing since she found out she was pregnant. “I always told you there was nothing to fear and that I would never hurt you.” She did not reply. Instead, she kept her eyes fixed on the dense forest that looked like something scary would jump out of it at any moment.
