Davina pov

“Do you think it's worth it?” Jane questioned under her breath with a worried look on her face. “Can’t he just get out of the country?”

I stared at her with a sad look on my face, but her gaze was directed towards the floor, and her hands were clasped together. “I don't think it's possible Jane.”

“We can just report it to the cops, you know,” she jerked her head up to me all of a sudden, and her gaze narrowed into the slit. “Right?”

The problem was how would I tell her about Tom, about the things that Tom did before he left her?

“Davina?” Her voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and without delay, I turned to her.

"Yes?"

"Do you think it's ideal for us to report this case to the cops?" She demanded with a bit of urgency in her tone and I pressed my lips as I thought of a way to break it down to her that we can't due to what Tom has also done in the past.

"No, Jane, we can't," I said, and a look of neutrality masked my face, but that was not the same in her case, confus
