Chapter 16 No sense of shame

In the office, Rod had read about the news about the accident and walked into Oswald’s office in agitation. He apologised to Oswald,

“Sir, I’m so sorry about the leak of the video. I can promise you that it wasn’t leaked by the IT guy that we spoke about the last time. I settled him enough.”

Oswald nodded his head as he watched the video leaked to the media. His eyebrows were wrinkled and his tie was loosed unlike his gentleman look he had on all the time. Rod knew he wasn’t happy about the news and so he said to him,

“Sir, do you want me to let the news disappear?”

Oswald shook his head and said to him,

“No need for that, the Timothy’s must have planned this. They wouldn’t be happy if we tampered with it.”

Rod nodded his head dissatisfiedly and was about to leave but then Oswald asked him,

“What about the engagement ring? Have you received it yet?”

Rod nodded his head and walked away without turning back.
