Chapter: 39 Missing Piece

Reluctant to leave Max, I slide out of the bath to see Azrael sitting in the center of the room, with his head in his hands. The shuffle of my foot pulls him out of his daze, and he looks right at me limping my way to the center.

Max was true to his words. I am sore, in fact so sore that every step I put feels like a task. Azrael raises his eyebrows, looking at my form, and I tug my lips in a small acceptable smile, letting a pretense of shyness tug at the edge of the lips. Mirroring my smile, his eyes follow me through the course of the room, eyeing every insignificant action of mine.

I settle on the bed, tilting my head in a question, “Why are you looking at me like that?”, I ask, and he crawls on his fours near my foot. The tiny crawl swayed his round and firm butt in all the right directions, the curve of his naked torso contouring with the chiseled muscles. I smirk at the crawl, eyeing his curves until he settles near my feet.
