Chapter 89

It was a sunny afternoon, Chris had just come back from his shift, he dropped his bag carelessly on the couch in the sitting room and dragged his legs to the room.

He lay on his bed, facing the ceiling, his face masked with sadness.

‘Should I have accepted to see mum?’ he thought within himself, turning to the other side, facing the window.

His financial situation had been bad, they fed on junks and fizzy drinks. He lost his job and recently started working where James got a part time role.

‘Should I just stop this revenge game I’m playing on Bryan and go back to my family? That’s why I’m practically broke’

When he was working a good job, he spent a heavy amount of money to place Lisa in Bryan’s house and a source of information, then he kept her on a payroll and paid a lump sum of money for any major move he had her to make.

His company was experiencing a loss in revenue and had to cut off some staff, he was one of the staff they had to let go.
