Adrian’s POV

“Untie him.”

Xavier’s smile froze. “What?

What the hell is going on here”?

I pinned him with a stare. “Untie him.” I repeated.

Xavier barked a laugh. “Untie him? No, Lucien. That’s not how this ends. He betrayed me, betrayed my family, hurt my mate. You’ve been useful, but you lack vision. The Bloodfang Pack needs a leader unafraid to draw blood, to seize what should have been his from the beginning. That leader is me. And when Morgan dies here tonight, I will finally have my revenge.”

The arrogance in his tone was flawless. But his eyes… his eyes were beginning to shift. He paused and took a good look at me for the first time since he walked in.

“Why are you hesitating now, Lucien? And don't think I didn’t notice you using your alpha voice on me. Don’t ever try that again” he said to me with a sly smile.

“You think Lucien has an Alpha’s voice? He isn’t an alpha yet, and you’re already fretting. Wait until he takes his place in the Crimson order pack, then you will know w

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 149: Eye for an Eye

Morgan’s POVThe chase was swift. Reports flowed back through the link: Violet and Carrick fleeing through back roads, disguised in thick clothes. My warriors hunted them in every nook and cranny of New York City while some trailed them in the clearings. Finally, they were caught trying to cross the packs’ border that was shielded from human eyes.Unknown to them, the pack link triggered the border security guards, and they got them before they crossed over the border .By the time I arrived in town, they were cornered, silver blades at their throats. Carrick’s face was pale, his false dignity stripped bare. Violet clung to him, her red gown torn, her eyes wide with the terror of prey caught in the open.“Alpha King,” Carrick began, trying to mask the tremor in his voice. “There must be some mistake…”“Silence.” My v

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 148: The Witch’s Confession

Morgan’s POVThe chamber erupted in chaos the instant the impostor healer lunged for Alora. My instincts roared, but another figure moved faster.Chloe.She moved at the speed of light, and before I knew what was going on, she was in front of the Marwen, claws protruding, fangs out. She snarled at her, seizing her by the hair and yanking her backwards so hard, a strangled cry that sounded like that of a witch broke out of her lungs. Alora gasped, curling into herself on the bed, shaking from the after effect of her retching.“Get away from her!” Chloe spat, dragging the woman across the floor like she weighed nothing. Her claws nicked the witch’s scalp, a lone streak of blood running down her neck. Before our very eyes, the healer’s form shimmered, her body breaking apart like smoke in Chloe’s grip. Then she vanished into thin air, leaving a stench of sulfur in the air.“Goddess! What is this creature? I murmured, unable to believe I had let that into our room, to touch my mate. W

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 147: False Remedy

Selene’s POVSince the day Alora had slipped and fell in the bathroom, nothing had been the same in the pack house, especially the bedroom of the Alpha. Alora had been sick like a dog, but today it had gotten worse.I had felt it even before the mindlink came through. Morgan summoned me just after sunset. His voice through the mindlink was raw with strain. “She’s not getting better, Selene. Come now please, I am running out of ideas.”He was seated besides her in his bedroom. When he saw me, he stood up, relief flooding his features. “She’s sleeping right now” he said, his eyes drifting to her tiny form longingly. “It comes and goes…the sickness. Some days she’s fine, and then suddenly she’s bent over in pain. I’ve had the healer three times. Nothing.”I pressed my palm against her forehead. She was hot.Leo perched at the foot of the bed, worry etched into his small face, though he tried to hide it by fiddling with the camera Mike had given him.“Mother,” Alora opened her eyes. “I’

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 146: Proof of Us

Harry’s POVThe moment Violet had walked up to me, I would have said no to her. My wolf had been restless from the moment she had walked through the halls of Bloodfang pack, but I had not heeded the warning signs.I went ahead and let her do whatever she liked because, somehow, she still had that power over me. I recalled how Chloe had bolted out the door, her face a mask of hurt and pain and my insides twisted. I had promised I would not hurt her again.I shoved Violet away. She stumbled with a scoff, smirking even as I bolted towards Chloe in the near darkness. I caught sight of her just as she ran into the gardens.“Chloe, wait!” My voice broke as it carried into the night. She whirled when I caught up, her eyes blazing through a sheen of tears. Leave me alone!” moving farther into the flowerbeds.I stopped just a few feet away from her. “Chloe, it wasn’t what it looked like…”“Oh, spare me the line, Harry,” she gave a short, bitter laugh. “I watched you. You let her touch you.

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 145: Two Down, One to Go

Violet’s POVI had been watching her all night.Alora.Her smile was perfect, her posture steady, but I could see the cracks. I had always been good at reading people, their tells, their fidgets, their hidden weaknesses, and I could see her clearer than anyone else here. She was pale beneath the shimmer of her dress, the glass in her hand never empty and her ignorant mate had been drowning her in wine. She was straining to stay present in her own party while her body begged her to retreat.I knew what that meant. The nausea she tried to hide. The way her hand kept drifting to her stomach. The faint sweat in her hairline even when the hall was cool.It was laughable that she didn’t even know she was pregnant. She was supposed to be a doctor. I scoffed. The one thing that should have been mine, the Luna crown, the Luna’s bed, the Luna’s heir, was now wrapped up in her fragile little body. I almost laughed at the absurdity of it. The Moon Goddess had once chosen Harry for me, then Ca

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 144: Perfume and Poison

Alora’s POVIt was the largest engagement party the Bloodfang pack had seen in years. The halls of the Crescent Moon estate glowed with lanterns strung high across the rafters, chandeliers dripping with crystals that shone down on the polished carpet floor. The middle was laid in red carpet and every part of the room hummed with chatter as representatives of packs within the region arrived.I was dressed in a shimmering sequin red dress, a gift from Morgan, and my hair was tied up, and some tendrils left to cascade down my face, while Morgan was dressed in a black Armani suit tailored specially for the occasion.Every Alpha and Luna who mattered had answered the summons. They arrived with their escorts and guards, carrying a little gift to mark the occasion.I forced myself to smile when I needed to, to nod politely when someone approached. My cheeks already ached from it.The first faces I welcomed with relief belonged to Mike, Phoebe, and Ryan. I had the time to tell them about my e
