“I want to see the security footage from inside the compound. Duncan,” Anders turned to speak, but Duncan cut him off.
“I have a team ready to go. We are leaving immediately. Let me know if there is anything useful from the footage. Join us afterwards.” Duncan’s face held his anger and frustration. I knew that security was tight around the compound and Anders had spoken about recent and ongoing upgrades to security.
“It had to be witches,” Raina spoke from behind us. “If the cameras didn’t pick up anything and none of the patrols saw anyone cross the pack border, then they had to be cloaked or masked somehow.”

Harley For as quickly as Raina stopped the attack and Brett and the scouts took out the rogues, time now seemed to standstill. All the previous events had happened in less than a minute, but now it felt as if each second was like minutes ticking by. Time seemed to completely stop as Raina collapsed next to her brother, Brett. I rushed to Raina’s side, the realization hitting me that, as the Luna, I would know if we had lost a pack member, and I did not feel that.
