Chapter 9 Your Scent Is Familiar

Daisy POV

“Ma, the company is on fire and our system has been hacked into.”

“Nooo,” I screamed and jerked up from my sleep, and like a drunkard, I rubbed my sleeping eyes, scrutinized my surroundings, and realized that I was still lying on my bed.

Today is Monday and when I check the time it's 7:30 am. I have just 30 minutes to prepare and get to King's Company, where I have been offered a job.

Well, you must be wondering why I have to work when I own a company, but something terrible happened.

Something I didn't see coming, no one saw it.

It wasn't a dream. This was the news I received five days ago, a day after I left my father and told him I wouldn't marry the man he arranged for me. I was called very early the following day by my secretary that my fashion company caught fire and everything burnt down. To worsen the case, the company's financial account was hacked into and all the money was wiped out, so now I'm back to nothing.
