Sienna’s POV

I flinched once I heard the loud thud of the door slamming shut, and then, taking a look, I confirmed that Andrea was gone. I looked up at Alpha Nolan, and he didn't seem to care and was still staring at my reflection through the mirror, so I cleared my throat and decided to change up as well.

“Could you give me some privacy?” I said to him, and he shrugged his shoulders, getting into the restroom on the left. 

Quickly, I changed up and called him out. “All those are okay, please.”

“I'll make payments, so let's choose more,” he said and meant it. There was no time to oppose as he took me out of the room with him until we went back into the main hall of the boutique. With him at my side, I made other choices and almost the same quantity as the first before he felt satisfied.

But this time, I wore each dress and walked out to let him have a look until I was done, and he made payments as he promised.

We got into his car, and I was stunned to see he was the one driving instead of his beta. “Is everything okay with you? I could drive you if he's very busy.”

He shook his head, “You don't do that for me.”

“And…” I bit my lower lip and swallowed sharply. “Do you mind telling me why you broke up with her? She looks nice and cool.”

He rolled his eyes and instead started the car. “I remember reading in the contract that we shouldn't look into each other's private lives, or did I read it wrong?”

I gasped and nodded. I wiped my forehead and responded, “Yeah! I really forgot.” So I averted my gaze so I didn't catch him glancing at me. 

That rule also has a disadvantage, too, because I didn't just want to know why he broke up with his ex, but also about Silas’ mum and why he and his son had no resemblance. But I should mind my own business because it wouldn't take him up to twenty-four hours to find out my past if I let him do that, and it wouldn't end well.

He drove me home himself and insisted on helping me take all the packages into my home.

I refused, because I could already smell Eve’s scent from his car. “Better to return to work,” I said instead and began putting up the packages in a way that they would be easier to get hold of. “Have a nice day…”

“Just like that?” he pulled back my attention, causing my heart to skip from how sudden his voice came through. “What if someone's watching us here to know if we are truly courting? This isn't private, and….

“Okay, I understand.” I cut him short and took a deep breath. “A kiss on the cheek is okay, right?”

But he only stared at me instead of responding.

“Alpha Nolan…”

“Are you still a virgin?”

“Huh?!” I didn't see that question coming. “What has that come to do with this?”

He unbuckled his seatbelt, “You act like one…”

I couldn't help but chuckle, “But…

He didn't even let me defend myself and crashed his lips on mine. I stiffened while he rolled his tongue into mine ravenously. I felt my belly rumble, while my wolf got pulled into the pheromone of lust overwhelming us.

Once he pulled away, I released a heavy breath and quickly got out of the car without saying anything else. He didn't leave until I got into my residence and locked up the door…Then I heard the sound of his car as he zoomed off.

The parcel bags I held slipped through my fingers, and I clutched my chest so tight as its beat fastened.

“Are you okay at all?” came a feminine voice that caused me to shriek out in fear, my chest almost exploded. “What the fuck is that scream about? Didn't you see me when you came in?”

I licked my lips and finally got seated on the floor there. “How long have you been here? I was so lost that I didn't notice you…" I muttered and shut my eyes. “Today's so stressful.”

“Mine too, that's why I'm here to take a rest from home,” Eve responded and straightened her body on the sofa.

Anytime she made that comment, I knew something was going on with them at home. She must have had a beef with one of her siblings and decided to leave for some time. But most times, I do not ask about it unless she tells me herself.

I sat there for quite a long time until I regained my strength, before I stood and began putting things in place. 

“You went shopping without me?” she asked and stood up. “Thats so much. Did you finally agree to flex this life out, baby girl?”

I chuckled and nodded, “And I also got a job as the CEO’s PA. That's why I needed new outfits, and also picked up some for clubbing and so many other things we could do together soon.”

She kept smiling while checking on the dresses, while I picked up my cell phone to see who had sent me a text.

[I forgot to tell you about the upcoming alpha club meeting, where we are all expected to show up with our mates, Luna, or whatever woman we have beside us. Get ready because I'm gonna flaunt you around that night.]

Night? I thought as I closed the chat with a simple response, [Yes, alpha!]

[What?] he sent again, and I hated that he was online while driving, or did he stop at the side of the road? [C’mon, Sienna, I know this isn't real, but aren't you taking it too seriously?]

I exhaled and texted back then, [Yes darling…]

He sent a kiss emoji, and I didn't want to continue since Eve had picked up interest in what I was doing, so I dropped the phone away from us.

“Who is that making you frown? Did someone abuse you?” she asked, dropping the dress she was holding.

I forced up a smile, “It's okay! Just my boss reminding me how early I should be tomorrow.”

“Can't he just take it easy? He isn't the first boss ever!!” she slammed and continued again.

I hadn't even known that I was frowning at our chat, and I bet it was because I wasn't alone.

Eve helped me arrange the outfits in my wardrobe, then, while we prepared something to eat, she decided to spill her major reason for coming over to me. 

“Do you know my elder sister?” she asked, and I shook my head. I knew not one of them and didn't even care since she was a beta, and I guessed they would be at her neck to end things with an omega like me. “Well, we are actually two girls and two boys. Andrea is my elder sister.”

Andrea? I heard that name somewhere.

My wolf flashed in my head that lady from the boutique, but she didn't have a look with Eve, although she was a beta too. Or could it be because I didn't have a closer look?

I turned to Eve, “Is everything okay with her?”

She shook her head, “She returned and began throwing a bait, accusing me of being the one who told my friend to snatch her alpha boyfriend from her.”

My jaw dropped. I wasn't really mistaken.

That lady was her sister and knew me from the onset?

“My family is all mad at me for being on good terms with the lady who is making my sister's life a mess. They said you took her place in the life of her alpha boyfriend, and I knew about it and supported you,” she stated and finally turned to face her, her palms on her waist. “So I wanted to ask you myself how it happened. When did you have a boyfriend, and I didn't know? Is it true that you're the cause of my sister's breakup with her boyfriend?”

There was this seriousness in her voice, and her expression was damn mean for the first time.

I didn't even know how to start defending myself, but I knew for sure that our friendship was finally coming to an end once I agreed to it.
