LOGINRaised like a nobody, loved by none, I only got myself, until the very day I thought was the end of me. Laying lifeless in the woods, I was saved by a man, taken care of by him, but he left me to fend for myself with his unlimited black card, even though we were mates. I searched for him for over two years until I finally met him as the CEO to interview me for my new job. I thought I'd finally met the man I fell for right from the hospital, my mate…and wasn't leaving his side again. But my ex-boyfriend who rejected me years ago and watched me get poisoned and banished from my pack, showed up as his son. How do I stay with the father of my ex? What if my ex finds out I was his ex-mate who was executed years back and they drag me into hell again this time?

My chest dropped. I placed my palms on the floor, unable to look up to the Minister of Justice who had imposed a penalty on me. I had tried my best to explain to them how I wasn't responsible for this offence, but no one listened.
I didn't kill my father. I didn't do it.
Why would I poison the only man who'd loved me effortlessly since childhood? They called me a bad omen for living and my mum passing on after I was delivered, but my father still believed that I wasn't responsible for that and treated me with kindness. So why should I have done that?
Now, they also believed it was my bad omen that pushed me into poisoning the man I always prayed to the moon goddess so that he would get well.
“Take her out!” came the commanding voice of the minister, and I was dragged up by my two arms and out of the throne room.
Tears blurred my vision. I was so weak and could barely walk on my own after being starved for almost one week in the cell. As they dragged me down the veranda, my stepmother and her daughter showed up from nowhere, and despite how much they tried to keep up with their sorrowful faces, I saw that devilish smile they'd always had towards me.
Luna Anika walked closer and caressed her palm on my hair, "It's a pity you're going to jungle on the journey to the afterlife like your mum. Should I say that you deserve it? Since you've already taken away the life of the sweet couple.” She shook her head and lit her lashes to meet my weak gaze. “I hope you die peacefully.”
My stepsister, Mirella, stood at the side, wearing a smirk and avoiding my gaze.
I turned to my step mum and bowed slightly, now waiting for the guards to keep us going to the prison van when I smelled my mate around. At that time, I got a kinda energy, or maybe the last one left in me. My wolf yelped in pain as we searched for him with our eyes darting around, until we found him standing beside the pots of flowers on the floor, staring at us, but he couldn't come closer.
Alpha Silas had never been proud of me as his mate. He hated that I wasn't loved in my family, and since I wasn't given nice treatment as the alpha princess, he always complained about everything and stayed away from me. He had once threatened to end the matebond if I wouldn't look good like a princess, and no matter how much I tried to make him believe that it wasn't in my hands to do that, he ignored me.
My step-mother had burned to ashes all my royal clothes, claiming that I wouldn't compete with her daughter, so I was left with dresses almost like rags, which made it hard to gain respect from other pack members as the alpha princess. So many times that I tried talking to my father about that, she convinced my father that I had so many flaws for a princess and would mess up the bloodline if still left with those dresses.
Alpha Silas never understood me. And seeing how far he was from me, staring and not even wishing to meet me this last time…
I shook my head pitifully and decided to mindlink him since I had no strength to open my lips. ‘You always refused to come see my dad, no matter how much I pleaded, now he's dead. What do we do? You can actually show up and claim me, so they reduce my penalty…maybe, removing the death sentence, since you're an alpha prince too.’
At this time, the guards dragged me with them once more, and my stepmom shifted to the side. I turned back, and Alpha Silas was still watching me, but there was no atom of pity across his face. Instead, he responded to me, ‘It was for the better that I didn't meet with the alpha king. How am I supposed to have a murderer as my mate and wife? Now I see why people called you a bad omen. The moon goddess did me dirty by giving me someone like you as a mate. Don't you see how presentable and lovable your sister has always been? If I took you to my dad, he wouldn't think twice to reject you in our bloodline.’
I didn't expect much from him, because I had already gotten used to his harsh words. But one thing I believed was that I could one day please him, and he would begin loving me again. In fact, for someone like him not being pulled by the matebond to stop the killing of his mate when he was the only hope to save me, it meant he had been waiting to end this bond.
‘Ivy, I'm sorry, but I can't cross the line in another pack just to save a mate that had never pleased me for once. I had always hated that you were my mate rather. So, I, Alpha Silas, reject you, Alpha Princess Ivy Adrian, as my mate. Henceforth, we have nothing in common and are bound to go our separate ways. Face the death penalty because you deserve it as a murderer.’
Every word he said in my mind haunted my soul. I didn't know he would be present today since five days after I was imprisoned, and he never showed up. Then why did he show up again? To just reject me? Was it even worth it?
I was pushed into the van, and as the door was brought together to be locked, I watched Silas until the door shut with a thud. The tears I tried holding spilled down my cheeks. ‘Alpha Silas, I accept your rejection. I hope you meet your second chance mate.’ I responded to him and severed our mind link that instant. Besides, I was the one who initiated it since he didn't want to.
The van rode to the pack border before I was dragged down. The soldiers there forced the poison down my throat and led me out of the pack entirely.
I wandered into the woods, losing every single strength left in me. Red spots suddenly appeared on my skin, and my whole body began itching so badly and heating like I was placed beside a fireplace. My wolf groaned in pain as she tried to absorb the poison, no matter how I tried to stop her, and even after she absorbed it all, I wasn't getting better.
By the time I lost all strength, I slumped to the floor and lay immobile there. My body went numb, and I barely felt that I had one.
With the way my body system was, I knew I wouldn't last long any longer. I lost hope of survival and couldn't wait to meet my parents in the afterlife.
While I was drawn into the daze of darkness, I heard footsteps approaching. I couldn't perceive the person's scent as my wolf lost its powers, but I only prayed to the goddess that the person would happen to see me and not just pass by.
I waited for what felt like eternity to get lifted from the floor by whoever it was, not until everything went blank and I was clouded in darkness.
Sienna's POVI couldn't come up with any reason I couldn't be his fiancée, and he insisted it was his only wish I should grant if I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with him. The thought of it was already deteriorating, but I was already tired and didn't know how to oppose him again. He offered me my employment letter, but still refused to take back his card, so I left his office. It's a pity I got a mate who was every woman's dream, but I had to decide to get rid of my feelings towards him because of my past. These three months, he insists I would be his possession, was already enough for his son or my family to find out about me and put me down, and he would still not save my ass as his son did.So, was it really worth it? Would I risk my life just for some feelings? When I walked out of the company’s building, my eyes went straight to the garage, and I happened to lock eyes with Silas. I subdued my nervousness, held my shoulders high while walking down towards the gate. At
Sienna's POVHow come my mate is my ex’s Dad? They didn't even have any resemblance, and upon hearing of my mate breaking up with his girlfriend, it only meant that he didn't have a wife. Was I dreaming or what? I couldn't come to comprehend it, and that made me become lost in thought, until someone tapped me on my shoulder.I shuddered and turned to my mate, and he wore that smile as though everything was settled, but beside me still stood Silas.“What did you just say, Dad? That she's your fiancée?” Silas growled and then leaned lower to look at my face. He looked me deep in the eyes until I begged the moon goddess that he finds out nothing. What would be my fate if he happened to find a reason to insist that I was Ivy? No one needed to know my real identity, or I would be dead meat; even my mate would reject me instantly. “How could you look like her this much? She's an alpha and not an omega, or I would have no reason to say you aren't her,” he muttered to my face before standing
THREE YEARS LATER…Sienna’s POVMy wolf chuffed the moment we heard Eve honking her car horn from outside. She had already arrived, whereas I was still trying to put on some makeup. I glanced at the wall clock, and seeing the time, I dropped everything, rubbed my palm on my well-packed hair and exited the house.I wouldn't be so stupid as to lose a job because of makeup that would lead me nowhere. She waved her hand at me while I hurried closer. I pulled the car door open and stepped in, then put on the seatbelt. “I didn't know you would be here this morning, girl. Aren't you going to your office?” I asked her, and she only smiled and started the car. “What's funny? Did you find any clues about the man?” I asked, and she pulled a long face while shaking her head.Maybe I could just celebrate three years of searching for my saviour and yet to find him. “What business do you even have with that man? I'm certain he isn't as important as the interview you're heading for today, because I
