A Confession

"It's okay, baby. I'm here."

A deep soothing voice was in my ears, familiar fingers wrapped around my body, but the tears wouldn't stop falling.

"Please, Cole, stay with me." The words were leaving my mouth and I couldn't control them, just as I was unable to do anything about the incessant whimpers.

"I'm here, I'm never going to leave you. I love you, baby."

My eyes snapped open,unsteady, blurry with tears, but my mind had suddenly become alert.

I lifted my head from the hard chest seeping warmth and heat into my body, coming face to face with Alpha Cole who looked...equally stunned.

I had been having a hell of a terrible dream, but all of it had disappeared the moment I heard those words.

I cleared my throat, blinking rapidly to adjust my eyes to the lights.
