DAMIEN

When I last saw Lisa, she was ill, and I had to leave right away to oversee politics, issues, and everything else that was tedious about the throne.

Lisa was the focus of my thoughts the entire time I was away, and I never once stopped wondering about her—what she may be doing, whether she was sobbing, what she was wearing. I scoffed... This was madness.

After returning home and quickly getting dressed, I went straight to her building, where my carnal cravings brazenly surfaced. She wasn't there, and her jailer wasn't either.

She wasn't also in the laundry room when I found Joanna next to the kitchen door, I knew she was in there.

I walked toward the kitchen as if I were promised candy and hoped she would make my favourite dish once more.

The last meal I had was the finest chili sauce I've had in a long time, and I ate it like I was starving.

"Good day, Beta Damien." Joanna smiled. She opened the door, moved aside to let me enter, then shut it again.
