Ehmm, So, what do you think? I won't ask too many questions this time because I know that this chapter holds too many questions. This time, it's your turn to ask the questions. Lay them down in the comments, haha, I'm reading them all. And of course, don't forget to vote (or throw gems at me -you know who you are, hehe and you have no idea how you much it made my day), comment, and leave a review. Bye, bye.
Aurora: “Hey” I said, smiling as I entered the office. Dante, who was typing something on his laptop, smiled at me. I put his cappuccino on his desk, having got it on the way to work, and set my things down on the chair in front of his desk. He didn’t get up as he usually did, and I frowned, seeing as he looked down at his laptop again without saying a word. “Is everything alright?” I asked, wrapping my arm around myself, a habit that I had when I was nervous. “Yes, I am just caught up with some work. Thank you for the coffee by the way” he said, not looking up at me. “Dante, if you’re upset about me not calling last night…” “You don’t need to explain yourself to me, Aurora, I didn’t call either. Now, we have work to finish, please open your laptop and check your email, there are a few documents that I sent you. I want these checked and reviewed before the end of the day. We’re going to need to print them out after being done with them, then after I sign, you’ll take them to
Dante: My chest ached, and sitting on my chair, I ran my fingers through my hair, pulling on the roots as my emotions got the best of me. I laid my head on the desk for a second, and allowing a low growl to escape my chest, I fought every urge to go and follow Aurora out of the office. The way she looked at me before walking out, and the way her heart raced as her wolf whimpered, everything made this a whole lot harder on me. Leonardo’s words kept playing in my head throughout the whole month, and Aurora being around Nicolas, Tyler, or whatever that dickhead’s name didn’t make this any better. I knew that I had to keep my wolf away in case the two of us didn’t work out, but there was also the chance of her falling for the man who was treating her right while I, to protect my family and myself, had to distance myself. It was a while before my office’s door was knocked and I frowned when I saw Aurora walking inside before I even called her in. Her eyes were wide in anger, and throwin
Aurora: I laid my head on Dante’s chest as he intertwined our fingers, hugging me from behind. My back was on his chest and laying his head on my shoulder, his racing heartbeat calmed a lot after speaking his mind. The way he looked as broken as he was while speaking. The way his heart raced, and the way he seemed to be as torn as he was broke me; however, I knew not to mention anything about it, knowing that it could end up breaking his heart more than it was. Him living through a memory that he probably wanted to erase was bad enough already, and knowing that he lived it again to explain to me what he was feeling made my heart both ache, and skip a beat. “Are you okay?” He asked, breaking our comfortable silence. I turned to look at him, and smiling, Dante connected his lips with mine in a gentle kiss. One that I missed if I were going to be completely honest. The fact that I couldn’t help but miss his touch, kisses, and cradling was not something that I could hide or lie abou
Dante: I wrapped my arm around Aurora as the two of us entered the café. Aurora’s heart raced to the sound of music, and looking at her, I nodded in assurance. She smiled and shook her head at me, her eyes scanned the area, and finding who she was looking for, her eyes lightened up. The man, I assume Nicolas, or as he calls himself, Tyler, approached us. He was wearing a waiter’s outfit, and raising an eyebrow at the billionaire Alpha who was standing as a waiter. “Aurora, Dante, welcome” he said, smiling at the two of us. “A pleasure to meet you, Nicolas” I said, extending my hand at him, smirking when I saw the man’s eyes widen in surprise. Aurora looked at me and frowned in confusion, and shaking his head, trying to regain his posture, Nicolas extended a hand to me, and shook my hand. “Tyler” he said and I nodded. Aurora looked at the man for a second, studying his expression, hopefully, having noticed his nervous state; however, she didn’t say a word as I let his hand go. He
Nicolas: I watched as Aurora and Dante walked out of the café before shaking my head, letting out a low chuckle. The man was too full of himself for his own good, and unfortunately, he was too blind to see it. They both were. “Take care of things here, I’m leaving” I said, looking at the bartender who nodded. The man was my employee, and he was one of the only people who knew who I really was. I took off my apron and fixed my hair just as I was walking out of the café, and headed to my car. My phone rang just as I started the car, and answering the phone, I chuckled when I saw his caller ID. “What do you want?” I asked, my tone hardening the second I heard him breathing on the line. “I take it that the plan didn’t work” he said, cutting to the point, ignoring my question. It was typical of him to do so; therefore, I was not surprised. “No, there was a minor change in it as your son decided to show up” I said, driving toward my house. I made sure to pass by Aurora’s place to ch
Aurora: “May I ask where we are going? As this does not seem like my house’s direction, nor is it yours” I said, looking at Dante who sighed and extended his hand to me. I put my hand on his, intertwining our fingers, and running my fingers over his own, he smiled at me. “I want to make things real between us, Aurora” Dante said, taking me off guard. I looked at him and he ran his finger over my own; however, he didn’t turn to look at me “I want to take you to meet my mom and sister. I know that this is sudden, but I want us to get out of the zone of not trusting one another…” “You want to meet your family?” I asked, my cheeks heating as I blushed. “Yes, I want us to be more than just this…” Dante said, making me frown in confusion “if you want, I want us to be real” “What?” “In other words, I want you as my mate…” “Dante…” “I know that this may not be what you want right now, but at least trusting you with meeting my family can be a start. It would be to show you that I trus
Dante: “How did you know that Giovanni was at his house?” Aurora asked, frowning as she looked at the picture “I mean, how’d you guess…?” “Ian and Jeremiah, my men, are there on the lookout, reporting to anything that seems odd. When they saw the car driving in, they called me, and I asked them to take a picture for you to see” I said, looking at her, studying her expression, noticing her racing heartbeat “I had them based there for a while now, especially when he started getting too close to you” “I don’t know whether or not to be happy that you had your men following him, but either way, why would he be hiding who he is around me? What would he be benefitting?” Aurora asked, her tone turning oddly cold. Her eyes which were filled with life a few hours ago seemed to completely lose the light that they had in them. “Nicolas told me that he was going to have you falling for him, and that he would make you forget that I even existed” I said, telling her what happened at the party. A
Aurora: I sat out on Dante's veranda, needing some fresh air. Having excused myself from dinner, I have been sitting here for the past hour, trying to clear my mind, and I was more than thankful that Dante allowed me the privacy to try and digest everything that I heard. My heart throbbed, and I couldn’t help the tears that would escape my eyes every few minutes. It wasn’t like there was anything more than a normal friendship between Tyler, Nicolas, whatever that bastard’s name was, and I. But the idea of him lying to me like almost everyone else broke me. The fact that he’s been playing a dirty game on me, pretending to be someone he was not hurt me a lot, especially since I knew that doing so only meant that the person in front of you meant nothing. I used to do it to get the men killed after I was done with my duty; therefore, if he was doing it, then I knew the fate that he planned on me. The thing was, knowing that I truly did consider him to be my friend, unlike any of the
