Finley

I woke up to the ringing of my phone the next morning and the sun shining very brightly through the open curtains. There was a lingering smell of mint and rainfall and I sat upright in my bed and looked around.

“Why are you calling me?” I groaned as I answered my phone.

“Are you alone?” Harley whispered.

“Why wouldn’t I be alone and why are you whispering?” I asked her as I held my pounding head.

“We were just wondering because your hot neighbour took you home last night like a caveman,” she said and laughed.

“What?” I asked her.

“He literally threw you over his shoulder and carried you outside to your truck,” she said.

“I don’t remember any of that,” I said to her.

“You’re so vanilla Fin! How the hell do you not remember a hot guy taking you home?” she asked me.

“My head hurts, I’ll call you later when I feel more human,” I said and ended the call as she started yelling at me.
