Chapter 10

Ezra:

I walked out of the elevator to see Armando waiting for me in the lobby. The two of us had a meeting to attend, and we usually tended to enter together. Me, being boss, and him, my best friend and right hand. It was a protocol that we silently founded. It was how we grew, and how everyone around us saw us living, and thankfully, we both never wanted that to change. It was a blessing that we were both grateful for.

“Any luck?” I asked, not bothering to greet the man. He knew that it wasn’t needed, especially considering the fact that we were together a while before I left. He shook his head, and I had to fight back a growl of annoyance, knowing that humans were around as I waited for what he had to say.
