Chapter 53 - Kelly

My eyes fluttered open to the sound of birds chirping and the warmth of the sun’s rays. I don’t remember the last time I slept this long, and it just feels so good.

Sitting up, I looked out the window and noticed that the color of my room had changed. That was odd because if Aiden was supposed to change something in my room, regardless of whether this was his house, he would have notified me.

And I am not a fan of dark colors.

My life had been in the dark most of the time, which made me hate the color so much. Aiden knew about it, so what changed?

My eyes went straight to the furniture by the window. I’m pretty sure I don’t have that kind of dresser, and as far as I am concerned, my room isn’t this big.

And that’s when it hit me. I looked straight into the blanket that’s wrapped around me, and I know that I don’t have this kind of blanket.
