The Hollow Realm was alive with whispers. They slithered along the cavern walls like veins of smoke, voices of the forest long devoured and trapped here. The chamber of the Daughters stretched wide, carved from the roots of ancient trees that no longer existed in the waking world. The air shimmered faintly, as though a veil separated this place from the reality outside. Shadows shifted unnaturally, always moving, always watching.

And at the center of it all, three figures stood in a circle.

Mirelda, with her hair black as crow’s wings and eyes that gleamed like sharpened glass, leaned forward with venom in her voice. Her fingers traced idle lines in the air, each movement leaving sparks of green flame that fizzled into the dark.

Nyxara, her twin in cruelty but not in shape, towered like a withered tree. Her lips curved into a disdainful smile, sharp and knowing, while the folds of her gown swayed as if alive, breathing with her.

Between them stood Thorne. Paler than the moon, her hair

The forest was silent after Thorne vanished, yet the echo of her cryptic prophecy still clung to me like frost on my skin. My knees felt like water, every muscle trembling as though my body was still dangling over the cliff’s edge.Kael’s arm remained steady around me, anchoring me to the earth. His grip was warm, firm, a tether I didn’t know I needed until this very moment. My breath stuttered out, uneven, but I forced myself to meet his eyes.“I’m fine,” I whispered, though the words felt hollow even to me.He studied me, wolf’s gaze searching, as if he could see through the lie and into the shivering heart beneath. He didn’t push—Kael never pushed—but his hand lingered against my arm, steadying me until I found my footing again. Then he turned to Fenrak. The outcast leaned against a stone, chest heaving, his shirt torn where claws had raked him earlier. He looked wild, feral almost, but still standing. And in his eyes—something softer than I expected.Kael approached him. “You’re h

The night was not quiet when the storm moved on.The air still hissed with the residue of power, the tang of ozone clinging to every breath. The earth was littered with bodies—broken, torn, lifeless. Order members sprawled where they had fallen, their black robes soaked in blood and rain, faces frozen in the silence of death. Smoke curled upward from scorched soil where spells had clashed and shattered, faint embers glowing like dying stars.Above it all, the battle raged still, though its song had shifted from chaos to something sharper, more deliberate.Eloria stood at the heart of it, her hands raised high, her silver hair plastered to her cheeks with sweat and rain. The glow of her power flickered like lightning in her veins, each spell bursting from her fingers with a crack that tore the night open. Her eyes burned with fury and desperation, their fire mirrored by the storms she had summoned to hold the line.Opposite her, two figures moved with impossible grace—sisters bound in

Rhea’s POVThe fall should have been endless. The air had torn her scream away, the cliff had vanished above, and cold claws of wind had stabbed her lungs until she couldn’t breathe. But suddenly—there was no wind. No tearing rush of air. No abyss. Only… stillness. When Rhea opened her eyes, she wasn’t falling anymore. She was lying on her back in soft grass, its blades cool against her palms. The air was rich with the scent of pine and wildflowers, dew shimmering in the light of a sun too golden, too gentle to be real. A soft breeze stirred the trees, whispering as if the forest itself were breathing around her.She blinked, disoriented, until laughter broke through the silence. Her heart stopped.“Elara?”Her sister was there—alive, radiant, standing in the meadow with that same mischievous grin that used to drive Rhea crazy. She was barefoot, her long hair bouncing as she spun in place, before she darted away between the trees, calling over her shoulder.“Catch me, little moon!”Rh

Rhea’s POV“Kael,” I whisper into the dark.A howl rips the forest open.It rolls across the trees like thunder, and the wolves in the shadows flinch. Then he’s there—bursting through the brush with Violet at his side, a few Draven wolves fanning behind them. He doesn’t need to shift; the force of him is enough. His eyes burn gold, and the air tightens as if the night itself bows. The Order’s wolves hesitate. Even Eloria narrows her eyes, her lips curving in a slow, cold line that isn’t a smile.Kael doesn’t look at her. He doesn’t look at the witches. He looks at me.“Rhea—are you hurt?” His voice is low and rough, the sound of a promise.I shake my head, breath catching. “No—I’m okay.”Fenrak steps in before I can say more, sliding just a half-step between me and everyone else—not blocking Kael, just… standing with me. “She’s safe,” he says, steady. “I’ve kept her safe. If you want her alive, we work together.”The forest holds its breath.Kael’s gaze lifts to Fenrak. For one long s

The dungeon beneath Draven Estate was cold, damp, and merciless. Every stone was carved to break the spirit, every chain forged to bite into flesh. It was no place for mercy—and Kael wasn’t in the mood for any.Alder sat shackled against the wall, wrists rubbed raw, her lips curled into a smirk that didn’t quite reach her eyes. Across from her, Varek strained against iron chains thick as an arm, his bulk diminished but not his hunger for defiance.Kael paced between them, his wolf restless beneath his skin. His shadow stretched long in the torchlight, jagged and predatory. The iron door groaned, and Violet slipped inside, clutching a small leather satchel. Her dark eyes flickered from Alder to Varek, then back to Kael.“You sent for me?” she asked softly.Kael’s jaw tightened. “Rhea’s gone. The Dreadmaws attacked Elara’s cottage. We found blood—hers.”Violet froze, a chill running through her veins. “And you think they—”Kael cut her off, nodding toward the prisoners. “We’ll see how m
