Chapter 15 | Lost Cause

"Crap!"

I jumped the signal and froze in the middle of the intersection, hitting on the brakes a little too hard and way too late. Inching my way back, I stalled the truck in an awkward position in front of the other waiting cars.

Meeting Sibyl was a mistake! I was feeling much worse as I drove home. I went to her confused about the changes happening to my body, and as if those weren't bad enough, she talks about ominous things like death and blah blah, which made no sense at all.

Out of nowhere, a police car moved forward with blaring sirens, asking me to pull over to the side. Wonderful!
