130 - Bad Decision

Even saying that the speeding horse-drawn carriage made my panic even worse. All I could do at the moment was hug my son tightly while continuing to say a prayer in my heart.

'God, please don't separate my son from me. He still needs me!’ I rapped endlessly.

“David, where are we going?” I asked the Alpha sitting next to me, whose eyes were busy checking the situation.

“To my house,” he replied shortly.

“To your house?” I asked, not understanding. “Where? Is it far away?”

“Sure. It looks like we'll have to take the rat road. If we go through the city, I'm afraid the citizens will see us and that will favor Hilbert. Are you okay with us going through the forest?” he asked seriously.

I could only agree to whatever David did, even though my head couldn't think of anything else to suggest right now.

Fear had enveloped me, to the point of wanting to vomit. I didn't want to think about this, it was just that the worst-case scenario kept entering my head, and it was overwhelming!
