After what Ojas claimed about Dorothea, Eros became furious. He wanted to make Ojas see for himself about how kind his stepmother is. So he agreed to what Ojas proposed. Now the Golem leader would stay inside the Palace for one month. If he couldn't find anything against the royal mother which proves that she is involved with her brother Waldo, then he will be hanged to his death. Ojas released all the Were warriors whom he held hostage. Eros let go of Morris as well. After making sure that he will not face any trouble from the Golem, the camp in the northern borders is again filled with the Were warriors, who are stationed there to protect the borders from intruders. "Your highness, do you need me to send a message to the Palace about your safe return from the northern borders?" Dimitri asked respectfully. After everything he witnessed and heard here, he began to suspect about the people inside the Palace. Especially about Waldo. Eros rarely witnessed Waldo interacting with peopl
Ojas is looking at his old friend from the spot where he is leaning to a tall tree. Iris and the warriors are laughing and eating in the middle of a clearing and Eros is standing on the other side. Ojas can see that his friend is falling for the woman in front of him. But he knows its a bad idea and Eros is going to get hurt in the future. Ojas wanted to warn his friend that she is never going to stay with him. This is not her world and she is going to leave soon. Ojas turned his attention towards Iris. 'Why is she here? What is her purpose? Is she seeking something from this world? She shouldn't be here. If she is found by the hunters, then it is dangerous for the king and everyone who is with her. These people typically never stay at a place for more than a few hours. But why is this one staying in this world for this long? Does his highness knows that she doesn't belong to this world?' he thought with a disapproving frown. He began to observe Iris closely. Her behavior and her
The once lively campsite is now pushed into chaos after the giant entered. The Were warriors are trying to fight the giant, but they are being swatted like ants by the giant. Iris, on the other hand, is rooted to the ground as her head began to feel heavy and she began to remember a small girl running alone in the dark. A group of giant Nephilim men is hunting her and the girl looked terrified. "Run princess. Run away" she heard a cry from a man, who began to scream with pain. "Ahhh" the girl stopped when the cries of the man stopped suddenly. Despite being young, she knows that her father is dead. "No, father" she turned in the direction from where she is running away and cried with gut-wrenching pain. "Iridessa, we have to run. Come on" an old man urged and pulled the girl to lead her away from there. But the little girl struggled and tried to break free from that old man. "No, they have my parents. They will kill them. We need to save them" the little girl begged the old m
The Nephilim is visibly outnumbered. It is quite obvious that it is not easy for him to kill the princess and be done with their race. They were searching for the runaway princess of the Skipper seer race for a long time now. They found out that she is hiding in the human world. Upon searching the human world thoroughly, they came up empty-handed. When they began to think that they might not find her at all, they received a tip from someone from the Were kingdom about her. The Nephilim lord thought that it's easy to kill a single defenceless female who is yet to come to her full powers. She is as weak and vulnerable as a human. But upon reaching here, the Nephilim is shocked to see the mighty Were king protecting the Skipper seer. What shocked him even more is that the Skipper princess is ready to kill the Nephilim with her bow and Arrow instead of running away to save her life. The giant is frozen with shock and is calculating his next move either to escape or kill the princess. The
"I miss home. I want to go back" Iris confessed truthfully. When Eros heard the longing in her voice, he felt bad for her. He doesn't know where she came from and who she is. He is not even sure about the other world she keeps claiming that she came from. No matter who she is and where she came from, he wanted her to be happy, just like she was when she was joking and laughing with his warriors."Don't worry. I got a message from my messenger that they found our priest. They said he is on his way to the palace. As soon as he comes, we can tell him about your world and he will find a way to send you back" he assured her.Iris relaxed when she heard his words. She is happy that she can go back and put this part of her life behind her. But she would miss Eros terribly."Thank you" she whispered.Just then Thomas, Dimitri and the other chief warriors came to speak with Eros. They quietly stood a little farther away, patiently waiting for Eros to call them.Iris noticed their present first
"You came from a world where only humans reside?" Ojas asked Iris, making her shoulders sag with disappointment. After the earlier incident with the Nephilim, her fight or flight instinct is activated and she is more desperate to go back to her world than ever. That's the reason why she disclosed everything in front of Ojas whom Eros considers his enemy. "Forget about it. I know Eros would find a way to help me. You are all useless" she muttered and turned away from him to leave his presence. Ojas recovered from his confusion and stopped her. "No, stop. Apologies. I didn't know people from your race prefer to live anywhere other than your own. And moreover, you are a Skipper seer. I was just confused for a minute when you asked me to help you to go to another world. People from your race can easily skip between worlds. What happened to you? Why do you need our help to go back? Why can't you use your natural born abilities to go back?" he asked her with confusion. He is confident
"Iris, What happened?" Eros asked her with worry. By now, she is considerably better than a few minutes ago. Away from all the prying eyes, she is feeling safe in his arms. But her fear of the unknown is like a constant reminder of what she did and the Nephilim. "I broke his arm" she confessed softly. Eros frowned. "Who's?" he asked casually, not at all making it look like a huge thing. When he asked like that, Iris relaxed even more. "Ojas" she replied. Eros began to laugh at her confession. "Really? Serves him right for forcing us to come this far away from the palace" he said and chuckled with amusement. This is not how Iris imagined him to react. So she lifted her head from between the juncture of his shoulder and neck to look at him with surprise. His amusement helped her to lessen her fear a little. When Eros saw how quietly Iris is looking at him, he grinned and kissed both her cheeks fondly. "You are scared about that silly thing? My brave Iris is actually scared?
In the Were Palace, Eros, Iris, Thomas, and Ojas along with a handful of guards reached the Palace. By the time they returned, it was early morning hours. The sun is yet to rise from the east. It's still a little darker. But still, the palace is bustling with people who look busy with something or the other. They are surprised to find the entire Palace lit with bright lights and well decorated with flowers and some expensive showpieces as if they are welcoming their king back after his victory over the Golem. "Do they already know that you are coming back to the palace?" Iris, who is sitting on the horse in front of Eros asked him quietly. Eros is confused as well. He specifically ordered his warriors and Dimitri not to inform about his return to anyone in the palace. But the decorations and the lively palace are not what he was expecting to find. "I don't think so" he murmured with a frown. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he is sensing that something is wrong here. The tr
