Seconds turned to minutes and minutes to hours Eden's mind was not at ease so she caught the exact moment the safe house door creaked open, revealing a gruesome sight that made Eden's heart drop.

The walls and floors of the pack were covered in dead bodies and blood. She clutched her dress as she stepped out, her eyes darting around the chaotic scene in front of her.

People were being helped onto stretchers, some injured and others in shock. A joyous occasion turned brutal in the blink of an eye.

Eden's first thought was to find Kylian. She hoped and prayed that he was still alive. As she walked, she watched the people around her, trying to spot any sign of her mate. And then, she saw him. Kylian was being helped by a pack member, his face bruised and his leg injured. Eden rushed to his side, tears streaming down her face as she hugged him tightly.
