Mia:

Owen and I dated briefly. He was one of the pack's warriors and was considered one of the best. He was good looking and while others alienated me, he was never ashamed to be seen with me until one night.

Teresa's scream woke everyone up. We all ran in to see her crying, her clothes were ripped while Owen stood at a corner dumbfounded. The whole image left little to the imagination.

However, I could immediately tell from Teresa's fake tears that this was one of her evil plots but there was nothing I could do to prove it.

With Luna Lilian adding fuel to the already blazing fire, my father's anger was tripled. He gathered all pack members and ordered that he be beaten fifty times with an acid laced rod and afterwards, banished.

My words held no value in the pack so I could only cry and painfully watch him get beaten and banished like a criminal.

I could never forget the smug look on Teresa's face that day.

Lukas' voice brought me back to the present.

“....He will be buried alive tomorrow morning”

my eyes widened as gasps echoed across the hall.

No. I could not let him do that. I had to do something even if it meant begging and kneeling.

Lukas left the council room and I ran after him.

“Alpha Lukas" I called out, my feet hitting the marble floor as I ran harder.

He stopped and turned to me.

I caught up and I struggled to catch my breath.

I grabbed his arm and his gaze became dark.

"Please. Don't kill him" I pleaded, my eyes welled up with unshed tears.

I failed to protect him in the Night shade pack, however, I could not stay silent this time or else, he would definitely die.

"He committed a crime and should be punished for it"

"Can you let it go? Just this once" My hands were clasped as I begged.

"What is your relationship with this man?"

"Well, he...... was my friend”

“I don't care. My decision is final” he turned and walked away and I collapsed on the floor helplessly in the empty hallway..

I found the cell where Owen was kept.

“To what do I owe this unpleasant visit” his voice was filled with spite as he glared at me.

“How have you been?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. I cleaned my sweaty palms nervously.

He scoffed. “My life was destroyed because of your goddamn family and now you are asking how I've been? I became a rogue because of all of you! Stop acting like you fucking care” he spat.

“I'm sorry there was nothing I could do. I'll do my best to get you out. I promise”

“I heard you became Luna” he scoffed “I bet your father pulled some strings to get you here. Do the pack members know how conceited and twisted your family is? Does your Alpha know?”

I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat. I understood he was mad at being framed but his words were so hurtful.

“Please don't bring Alpha Lukas into this. He's my fated mate. That is why I married him. Is anything wrong with that?” I questioned, anger bubbling inside of me.

“Your mate?” He asked in disbelief.

That he was spiteful did not mean he could talk to me anyhow he wanted.

“I'll take my leave now” I said and walked away.

When I returned, Alpha Lukas was at the table having breakfast.

The maid tried to lead me to the table but I stopped her.

“I'm not hungry” I said firmly and headed to my room.

Our eyes met for a moment and I saw anger flashed in his eyes.

When I entered the room, I let out a breath I didn't know and tried to calm my racing heart.

Alpha Lukas was incredibly scary and I was not sure if my act of defiance was the right way to change his mind.

My stomach rumbled loudly begging to be filled.

I heard footsteps and hurriedly covered myself, pretending to sleep.

I tensed up when the door opened and his familiar scent filled my nostrils.

“Stand up” he ordered.

I didn't move.

“I know you are pretending” he sighed. “If you don't get up, I'll give an order for his immediate execution”

I sprung up.

“You can't do that!”

He dipped his hands in his pockets.

“Is that why you're refusing to eat? You think that will change my mind?” he shook his head. “Suit yourself” he said and walked out.

I didn't see him for the rest of the day. I was so anxious that I didn't get any sleep. No one knew his whereabouts and Owen's execution was in a few hours. I didn't have his number and his parents had gone on a vacation.

I paced back and forth, glancing at the time every now and then.

Thunder echoed in the sky and in a few seconds, a heavy downpour began.

Due to this, the execution was postponed.

A few weeks passed and he didn't come home. At first, I thought he was avoiding me but I learned that there was some disturbance from humans at the border.

On one hand, I found myself getting worried about him and on the other hand, I was relieved that Owen was still alive. Without the Alpha present, an execution cannot take place.

I sat before the huge dining table, staring at the plate of pasta in front of me.

For the past few days, I had been throwing up everything I consumed and just the sight of food made me want to puke.

I cut a small portion and put it in my mouth.

I had barely swallowed it when that familiar wave of nausea washed over me.

I ran to the toilet and released a load of bile.

I washed my face and stared at myself in the mirror.

My whole body had become gaunt and I could barely stand for a long time.

My ears rang loudly and I was starting to feel dizzy. I tried to hold onto something but there was none.

My breaths became shallow and I fell, hitting my head against a sharp edge then I blacked out.

Mia:Kate fumed and yelled at them. “Don't you have chores to get to? Seeing you lazing around here, I guess you want me to help you do them” she placed her hands on her hips, glaring at the girls.Their heads hung low, scared what punishment their actions could lead to.“How about I report you to Alpha Lukas?” she threatened. They desperately pleaded, shaking their heads vehemently.“We're sorry”“It’s alright. You can go” I said. They skittered off, thanking me. “Don't let their words get to you. They are just girls who don't know what to do with their time”I forced a smile. “I'm not bothered” I lied. “Come. Let me show you something” I tilted my head, curious. I followed her up the stairs, towards my room. Only, she made a turn and stopped before the room beside it. “What is in there?” She eased the door open with one hand and the sight that greeted me stole my breath away, literally. The once empty, soulless, dark room had been converted into a breathtaking nursery. The b

Mia:“If you won’t tell me anything, then I'm going to go find out for myself” I began to sit up but Lukas stopped me.“He's still alive”My eyes lit up with hope. “He? It's a boy?”Lukas nodded but his next words shattered me completely. “He’s alive but we don't know for how long”“What do you mean?”“He was born way before the due date and is currently in the incubator. We don't know if he'll make it”Kate entered, donned in a blue scrub, her hair tied up in a bun.“Thank goodness you're awake” she placed her stethoscope over my chest and wrong something on my charts.“Lukas said the baby might not live. Is that true?”“His vitals are becoming stable. I think he'll pull through. I can tell he's a strong boy, just like his dad” Kate shot Lukas a look.“Can I see him?”“Sure. But you can't touch him due to his critical condition”Seated on a wheelchair, I was taken to the room where he was. A tall glass window stood as a barrier between us. The sight broke my heart into a million piec

Mia:“I don't need any help. Thank you” I said curtly. He smiled and stretched out his hand. “I'm Ethan, Alpha of Raven claw pack”My wolf stirred uneasily at his uncomfortable presence. I shook his hand for only two seconds and attempted to pull back but he refused to let go.I tried to wring my hand out of his grasp but my small, feeble hands were no match for his sturdy, strong ones.“You have beautiful hands” he complimented, his eyes locked on mine. “You are perfectly my type. Would you like to return to my pack with me? I promise to take care of you” Crazy bastard!“Let me go!”“You didn't answer my question”“Excuse me, Mr Ethan. I'm married”“Doesn't change anything”My mouth hung open in disbelief. Kate was right. He was indeed a douchebag.“If you don't let me go, I'll scream for help” A smirk appeared on his lips. “Seems to me like we are the only ones here” I looked around. The hallway was indeed deserted. “I am the Luna of this pack. You have no right to do this?

  • Alpha Lukas    Chapter 9

Mia: I slowly opened my eyes and shut them right back when the glaring light from outside streamed in, almost blinding my groggy eyes. I adjusted to the light and that was when I realized there was someone before me, his long arms wrapped around me, his chest in my face. I didn't think he was truly going to come.I had no idea when he entered. I must have slept off.I looked up at his flawless, beautifully sculpted face. I could not get tired of looking at it. I ran my thumb over the smoothness of his well-shaped brows. Damn! He was perfect. The loud ring of his phone made me pull back hurriedly. He woke up, his eyes on me.“Good morning” “Good morning. You should answer your phone” I said, his unwavering stare made me squirm uncomfortably. He grabbed the phone and answered it. He hung up a few seconds later without a word to the person on the other end. He came out from the shower and got dressed. “Something came up. I have to go” “When is the ball starting?”“This evening. • Alpha Lukas    Chapter 8

Mia: In the darkness of the night, I walked aimlessly in the cold. Lately, my emotions had been all over the place and I could hardly control it. Lukas was right. Even if I knew about the ball, there was nothing I could do. Somehow, I ended up on a silent road with not a soul present. I tugged my hands under my arms, grinding my teeth as I shivered from the cold. I mentally scolded myself for leaving the pack house without thinking. Now I didn't even know the way back. My back had begun to hurt from walking such a long distance. A car drove down the road, its headlights almost blinding me.The car pulled up beside me and the driver wound down the window. I squinted my eyes to see who was in there. It was the pretty doctor from the hospital.“What is our Luna doing out here by this time? You look like you need help. Get in”She was putting on a really tight and skimpy dress that exposed a small.part of her cleavage. Her lips were blood red and she looked like she was coming fro

  • Alpha Lukas    Chapter 7

Lukas:The drive back to the pack house was totally silent, with Mia stealing awkward glances at me once every two seconds till I could not take it anymore.“What is it?”She hesitated for a while before speaking.“The doctor informed me about my condition. She said I might have a miscarriage”“Do you want to get rid of it?” She turned sharply, looking at me like she had just seen the most horrible creature.“Of course not! I'm going to keep this baby and protect it as much as I can” her eyes clouded over. “It's your child too but you sound like it's none of your business”I pressed my lips together. I hadn't expected that reaction. I wanted to explain that I was only worried about her but I kept quiet.“How do you plan to protect it when you can't even eat properly?” I murmured but loud enough for her to hear me.“I'll try my best from now on” I glanced at her as she nodded her head resolutely. We had just arrived at the pack house when a car pulled up behind us.It was Rina.I tu
