LOGINMia:
Owen and I dated briefly. He was one of the pack's warriors and was considered one of the best. He was good looking and while others alienated me, he was never ashamed to be seen with me until one night. Teresa's scream woke everyone up. We all ran in to see her crying, her clothes were ripped while Owen stood at a corner dumbfounded. The whole image left little to the imagination. However, I could immediately tell from Teresa's fake tears that this was one of her evil plots but there was nothing I could do to prove it. With Luna Lilian adding fuel to the already blazing fire, my father's anger was tripled. He gathered all pack members and ordered that he be beaten fifty times with an acid laced rod and afterwards, banished. My words held no value in the pack so I could only cry and painfully watch him get beaten and banished like a criminal. I could never forget the smug look on Teresa's face that day. Lukas' voice brought me back to the present. “....He will be buried alive tomorrow morning” my eyes widened as gasps echoed across the hall. No. I could not let him do that. I had to do something even if it meant begging and kneeling. Lukas left the council room and I ran after him. “Alpha Lukas" I called out, my feet hitting the marble floor as I ran harder. He stopped and turned to me. I caught up and I struggled to catch my breath. I grabbed his arm and his gaze became dark. "Please. Don't kill him" I pleaded, my eyes welled up with unshed tears. I failed to protect him in the Night shade pack, however, I could not stay silent this time or else, he would definitely die. "He committed a crime and should be punished for it" "Can you let it go? Just this once" My hands were clasped as I begged. "What is your relationship with this man?" "Well, he...... was my friend” “I don't care. My decision is final” he turned and walked away and I collapsed on the floor helplessly in the empty hallway.. I found the cell where Owen was kept. “To what do I owe this unpleasant visit” his voice was filled with spite as he glared at me. “How have you been?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. I cleaned my sweaty palms nervously. He scoffed. “My life was destroyed because of your goddamn family and now you are asking how I've been? I became a rogue because of all of you! Stop acting like you fucking care” he spat. “I'm sorry there was nothing I could do. I'll do my best to get you out. I promise” “I heard you became Luna” he scoffed “I bet your father pulled some strings to get you here. Do the pack members know how conceited and twisted your family is? Does your Alpha know?” I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat. I understood he was mad at being framed but his words were so hurtful. “Please don't bring Alpha Lukas into this. He's my fated mate. That is why I married him. Is anything wrong with that?” I questioned, anger bubbling inside of me. “Your mate?” He asked in disbelief. That he was spiteful did not mean he could talk to me anyhow he wanted. “I'll take my leave now” I said and walked away. When I returned, Alpha Lukas was at the table having breakfast. The maid tried to lead me to the table but I stopped her. “I'm not hungry” I said firmly and headed to my room. Our eyes met for a moment and I saw anger flashed in his eyes. When I entered the room, I let out a breath I didn't know and tried to calm my racing heart. Alpha Lukas was incredibly scary and I was not sure if my act of defiance was the right way to change his mind. My stomach rumbled loudly begging to be filled. I heard footsteps and hurriedly covered myself, pretending to sleep. I tensed up when the door opened and his familiar scent filled my nostrils. “Stand up” he ordered. I didn't move. “I know you are pretending” he sighed. “If you don't get up, I'll give an order for his immediate execution” I sprung up. “You can't do that!” He dipped his hands in his pockets. “Is that why you're refusing to eat? You think that will change my mind?” he shook his head. “Suit yourself” he said and walked out. I didn't see him for the rest of the day. I was so anxious that I didn't get any sleep. No one knew his whereabouts and Owen's execution was in a few hours. I didn't have his number and his parents had gone on a vacation. I paced back and forth, glancing at the time every now and then. Thunder echoed in the sky and in a few seconds, a heavy downpour began. Due to this, the execution was postponed. A few weeks passed and he didn't come home. At first, I thought he was avoiding me but I learned that there was some disturbance from humans at the border. On one hand, I found myself getting worried about him and on the other hand, I was relieved that Owen was still alive. Without the Alpha present, an execution cannot take place. I sat before the huge dining table, staring at the plate of pasta in front of me. For the past few days, I had been throwing up everything I consumed and just the sight of food made me want to puke. I cut a small portion and put it in my mouth. I had barely swallowed it when that familiar wave of nausea washed over me. I ran to the toilet and released a load of bile. I washed my face and stared at myself in the mirror. My whole body had become gaunt and I could barely stand for a long time. My ears rang loudly and I was starting to feel dizzy. I tried to hold onto something but there was none. My breaths became shallow and I fell, hitting my head against a sharp edge then I blacked out.Elsie:My arm was wrapped around Iris' shoulder as she supported most of my weight. The hallway was filled with the smell of gunpowder. We had barely made it to the stairwell when a loud explosion rocked the building. Iris shielded my body with her, the debris raining down on her. “Are you okay? What the fuck is that?” “Sounds like a bomb. We need to get out of here as fast as we can”Sounds of heavy footsteps made us freeze and we were suddenly surrounded by men I recognized as Antonio's elite guards. I could barely move my legs so I could not fight them. “What do we do now?” She handed me her phone and cocked her gun. “Call Alicia. Tell her I need help”Gunfire echoed through the air as Iris and the guards traded bullets while she acted as a human shield. I grabbed a gun from a dead guard and began shooting, then it clicked emptily. Fuck! The men were down to two and Iris muttered a curse. I knew her for a long time and she never cursed. “What's wrong?” I whispered. “I'm
Alex:“That's it! We're going. She's been in there too long already.”The thought of what Antonio could do to her made my heart hurt. “But we can't just storm in there. It's going to get messy” Cedric said. “Elsie is in danger. I don't care about messy” “Their firewall is strong but I'm sure I can breach it. In the meantime….” She handed me a black flash drive. “I need to to plug this into their security hub so I can gain full access”“If I do this, how long will it take to shut down the alarms and cameras?”“Two minutes, if everything goes well”“Then let's move. We have no time to waste”We drove to the headquarters while Amber's hands flew over the keyboard, trying to breach their firewall. We pulled up about a few blocks away from the building. Amber handed us earpiece. “Put these on. Let me know right away if anything happens”I nodded. “Stay in the car.”Cedric and I slipped out to the entrance. There were two guards there, heavily armed. Cedric took one of them down with
Elsie: I sat behind the wheels, staring at the towering building of the organization's headquarters that loomed ahead. After so much effort, I was finally able to get Amber off my back and shake off the men Alex sent to watch me. When I found out, I pretended like I was fine on the outside but my insides were burning with rage. Alex said he would take care of Antonio but I was done letting him fight my battles. This was mine and I would fight it with every strength I've got, even if it killed me. I had no plan. All I wanted to do was find Antonio, ask him why he would do something so cruel and plant a bullet in his skull. My gripped around the steering wheel tightened till my knuckles turned white while I thought of ways to sneak in but that was nearly impossible. The headquarters was a fortress with almost seven hundred guards so I had to go the hard way. I grabbed two handguns and my golden dagger before climbing out of the car. The entrance was guarded by fo
Alex:The door burst open and Elsie stood at the doorway, her chest heaving. I cursed mentally. Did she hear us? Judging from her expression, she probably did. “What did you just say?” she demanded, her voice trembling. “I don't understand what you are talking about”“You mentioned my parent's accident just now. I heard you”“Well, you heard wrong. Cedric and I were just discussing some company issues”She stepped closer to me. “Don't lie to me, Alex” Cedric stood up and tried to slip out. “I'll give you two some privacy” “No. You are staying” She said sharply. Cedric went back to his seat, watching us in silence. “Elsie….” I started. “Please tell me the truth” she said, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. My gut twisted and I exhaled. I tried to shield her from the truth but I couldn't anymore. I left my desk and guided her to the couch. “I'll tell you, but you have to promise me not to do anything rash”“I promise”I wiped off a tear that rolled down her cheek. “Antonio
Elsie:My phone buzzed for the fifth time on the nightstand. I didn't need to check to know it was Alicia again. She had sent several messages in just a week begging to meet but, still riddled with anger and hurt, I replied none. My phone buzzed again. I groaned and grabbed it, ready to give her a piece of my mind. ‘Please, just one conversation. I'm begging you’I pursed my lips, contemplating whether to agree or not. In the end, I sent a reply. ‘Central Park, by the fountain’*********She was already there by the time I arrived, holding a cup of coffee. I was ten minutes late and if we were on good terms, she would have chastised me for that. Instead, she said,“Thank you for meeting me”I sat beside her on the bench and avoided her gaze, keeping my eyes on the fountain, watching tourists and kids walk around the park. “Do you want coffee? There's a cart over there. I can…..”“No need. You said you wanted to talk, so go on. I won't be staying long” I snapped. She offered a sm
Leo:In the hotel room Amber checked into, I sat on the edge of the bed with my shirt off, Amber wiped the blood off my face. For someone who spent days torturing me, her touch was surprisingly gentle. Her brows were furrowed in concentration and I couldn't stop staring, committing every inch of her face to memory. But a part of me was puzzled. When I decided to chase after her, I knew Cedric was a strong opposition. Or so I thought. Since we entered the room, she hasn't said a word to me. It probably had to do with her break up with Cedric.I had been half conscious but I heard it clearly. He said it was over between them if she left. And yet she did. She dabbed a deep cut on my head and I hissed from the sharp, stinging pain. A crazy idea popped in my head. Maybe….just maybe she felt something for me. She looked up and caught me staring. “What?”I swallowed. ‘Are you in love with me?’But I couldn't say that out loud, scared of what her answer might be. Instead I asked, “Why
Mia: I opened the door slightly. Lukas stood with his hand braced against the edges of the dresser, his muscles taut and his head down. “Lukas?” I called gently. I stepped inside and my gaze met his gaze through the mirror. “Please don't be upset” I said, my fingers intertwined in front of me.
Mia: I stepped out of the shower, putting on my bathrobe. Lukas was gone. He had left before I woke up. I grabbed the blow-dryer and settled before the vanity. I looked into the mirror, realizing I wasn't alone in the room. Seated on the sofa was Mira, her legs crossed, staring at me. I jerked
Mia:I pleaded with my mother to stay a few days and begrudgingly she agreed.I had promised to return Axel to his rightful place as my father's heir and I would make good on that promise. Here I was, two guards behind me, standing before the house that served as my home for many years yet never fe
Mia: My eyes were still groggy with sleep as I felt the space beside me. It was cold and empty. Yawning, I heard faint whispers coming down the hallway. I slipped out of bed and walked towards the grand staircase. The closer I got, the clearer the voices became. “I wouldn't let you turn this
