"Good morning, mate. How was your sleep?" I asked Freya as I put some vanilla syrup on top of the pancakes. I couldn’t help but frown when I didn’t get an answer from Freya as if she hadn’t heard me. I look up at her with a confused face and my brows instantly furrowed when I saw my mate looking at me with watery electric blue eyes.

Her eyes feel like it's pleading for me to already serve the food so I quickly put the waffles and the pancakes on her plate and place it on the breakfast bar along with a glass of orange juice. I don't know if she likes orange juice but it's the only available in my fridge right now.

"Come here, mate," I said to Freya and then motioned for her to come over to me because she was just standing at the entrance of the kitchen.
