"Here goes nothing." She muttered with a deep breath, taking slow and calm steps toward him. She smoothly sat on the chair opposite him.
The man didn't even notice her presence, drowned in his food.
She didn't dare look at her friends because they must be grinning like idiots right now.
Catherine dramatically cleared her throat to get his attention, which did get his attention. He stopped eating for a complete two seconds before he started eating again. Eyes still on his food.
Catherine again cleared her throat a little loudly now. He smoothly grabbed his can of coke and put it in front of her.
Her cheeks tinted a bright shade of red as she heard the booming chortle of her idiotic friends.
"Thank you." She said rather plainly as she opened the can and took a gulp of the drink, his eyes were still on the food so she timidly toasted the drink at her friends who were smiling at her.
"So why did you take admission so late?" She breaks the ice.
No reply.
'God. What was this man? Mute Gorilla or something.'
She thought in her head. "Are you mute? You talk in sign language?" She asked and then she signed a hello. She knows one or two words in sign language, which she learned when she visited the orphanage for special kids.
Her heart jolted when he finally raised his head, and those olive hues met her hazel ones. Her hands became sweaty as she immediately looked down not because she was afraid.
No.
His gaze was so freaking intense, and piercing through her soul.
When she peeked at him again. He focused on his food again as she let out a small inaudible sigh.
"So Mr. Mute. I was here to ask if you would like to be my friend. It's not that I go around the university asking guys to be my friend. To be honest, you're the first. You should consider yourself lucky seriously. You'll become friends with great Catherine.... oh wait, stupid of me, I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Catherine, 19 years old, doing a major in business which you might've already figured out I guess." She blabbered on. Her habit. She could talk nonstop without a pause. She called it her talent.
"Oh please, don't bother to introduce yourself. I know you won't speak. I'm fine with it. Well, I know a little about you. You're majoring in business. Prolly failed a couple of times to still be in the first year when you look like you are in your final year. I could guess your age too, I'm excellent at guessing so let me guess, you might be 22 to 25. You can't be more than that. You don't have wrinkles or anything. By the way, my friend is already head over heels for you. Her name is Avery. She was asking me if I could get her your number..." She blabbered and let the sentence hang when he still didn't reply. Not even a twitch in his expression she continued.
"She's very hot you know. She's blond, has pretty nails, and has red lips. Well, I don't go around doing matchmaking but trust me you'll like her. I have a whole gang of friends. Two boys and three girls, if you want to join then it would be awesome. Well again I don't go around talking to strangers to join my gang but Mr. Colt you're no stranger. We've already established a relationship where you ignore me all the time and I've to keep bantering because I need your number just so I could prove to my friends that you didn't ignore me, now what do you say-'' She stopped speaking when he casually stood up, not sparing her a glance.
Walking to the dustbin he threw the leftovers as he placed the tray on the counter and strolled out of the cafeteria. She couldn't stop but noticed his stance. He gave out dominating and intimidating dark vibes. She noticed how the girls gawked at him. She knows he was handsome but girls need to control their horny selves. Gosh.
She jumped in surprise when Avery patted her on the shoulder lightly and hopped down on the seat beside her. Joseph, Samuel, and Quinn followed, joining the table along with their food.
"So?" Avery chirped as Joseph tried to hold in his chortle but ended up barking huge laughter out within seconds her idiot friends were laughing hysterically.
She scrunched her nose up, folding her arms on her chest, she rested back on her chair while glaring at the door from where Mr. Mute left.
Great.
"You were blabbering nonstop. You blabber when you're nervous and damn. That man didn't even say a word." Joseph laughed while slapping the table in a clapping manner as she glared at him.
"He offered me his drink," Catherine said as she showed them the can which was still in her hand.
"Babe he thought you've got a sore throat with all that throat clearing. He was just being kind." Avery mused and Quinn giggled while cupping her mouth and shaking her head in negative as if she wasn't laughing.
"Whatever," Catherine muttered, annoyed.
"So we aren't going to the funfair. This means we need to give a punishment to you for losing the bet." Samuel grinned evilly.
"Wait a second. I still didn't give up." Catherine gave them her pearly white smile.
"And you all never mention the time. So for now I'm already in the bet." She smiled innocently.
"Fine. You've got a week." Avery started.
"No. At least two weeks." She debated.
"You can take two years if you want," Joseph grumbled.
"Two weeks I vote." Quinn voted in her favor.
"One week I vote." Both Avery and Joseph said simultaneously.
Now all eyes were on Samuel to decide the fate of the bet.
"Two weeks." Samuel smiled and high-fived Catherine.
"So two weeks for Mr. Mute to start speaking again." She smiled with a new mission brewing in her head.
5 months later. "Baby, what can I do, please tell me." Rasmus's soft voice was heard but Cath only glared at him. "I don't know. I'm just angry. Stop looking at me. No... bring me ice cream. No... I don't even know what I'm craving. This is scary that I don't even know what I want. Why are you staring at me? I look like a fat potato. Oh my God... I'm not beautiful anymore..." She was blabbering nonstop. A soft smile graced his lips as he watched her quietly. She woke up in the middle of the night saying she wanted his attention and now she was talking nonstop. She has been like this for the past few months. His mom said that these were the pregnancy perks or something of that sort. He didn't complain. "You are even more beautiful now." He mused and her jaw slacked, eyes watering up. She was also being too emotional these days. "Stop it..." She says dramatically while swaying her hand. "I need ice cream," She muttered. "Just five minutes, baby." He said as he walked out of the r
Every one of the pack members was gathered in the hall. Rasmus was right beside his sister. Xander and Emma stood to her left. Cath, Hunter, Angela, Luca, Clarke, Reid, Davis, Adriel, Agatha, all of them were there except Silvia, she had left right after Catherine's wedding. She left without even saying goodbye, just leaving a note behind for Clarke and Reid not to worry about her and nor to look for her.Davis brought the cake and Cath along with Angela set the candlelights.Aurora was smiling shyly. Angela and Cath had lifted her mood after her talk with Luca."Make a wish," Angela chirped as Luca glared at her. Feeling his gaze on her she glanced at him and scrunched her nose while poking out her tongue at him.He rolled his eyes at her tactics.Aurora closed her eyes as she wished to have the most caring and loving man as her mate. She opened her eyes and blew out the candles. Grabbing the knife she cut the cake as everyone cheered and wished her happy birthday. She fed the cake t
She clutched his shoulders as he moved inside her.She noticed that he was looking down where they were connected and her stomach tightened. He growled when she pulled at his hair and yanked him down for a kiss. She kissed him passionately and his pace fastened. Just when she was about to come he pulled out of her.She whined as he moved out of the bed but she shrieked when he turned her around with his arm on her waist and she found herself on her fours. He grabbed her ass before slamming into her hard. She arched her back as he slapped her ass cheek and pounded in her hard."So f*cking beautiful," He growled as his veiny hand roamed her back. She tensed when he caressed her scars. "Beautiful," He rasped as he grabbed her hair in a fist and yanked her up, his hand wrapped around her throat as she turned her neck to kiss him.One of his hands squeezed her bosom while his other hand barely constricted her air supplies as he pounded in her hard."I..I'm..." She was mewling when he pull
No matter how many times Rasmus tried to snatch Catherine away from everyone but the poor man was unable to get the chance alone with his wife. His sisters were with Cath like her second skin and not to forget Quinn and Avery. All the girls were hell-bent on keeping Cath away and making Rasmus all grumpy and needy. The celebrations were still going on in full swing. The night approached but no one seemed tired. They were dancing, chatting, and enjoying dinner.Silvia was sitting quietly on the couch when Agatha came to sit beside her."So what do you think?" Agatha asked and the girl breathed in deeply. "I'll be leaving tomorrow for the training," she said and Agatha smiled. "Excellent, you have the powers of ancient witches. You are far stronger than you think. This training would help you control your magic and you'll learn many things," Agatha said as Silvia nodded her head."Your husband is dying to have you. Jeez. Just look at how pissed he looks." Avery mused as she nudged Cath
"I'm talking to you?" Hunter growled lowly as he grabbed her elbow and turned her around rather roughly. Silvia had walked away from the backyard, there were so many people, and the visions she was having since the past few days had affected her severely. She needed to get her thoughts together.Whatever she saw in her visions. She couldn't afford to let it happen. Silvia has to make up her mind soon."Why the f*ck are you ignoring me, witch?" He sneered in low menace causing her to flinch back as she tried to get her elbow free from his brutal hold but it seemed impossible."Y..you a..are hurting me..." She whispered trying to free her arm but Hunter wasn't having it.He dragged her along with him into one of the guestrooms and closed the door shut with such force that it rattled badly. The next thing he pushed her against that same door placing one of his hands on the side of her head as he glared down at her."Listen here and listen well" He started. His voice was cold as ice as hi
Xander walked into the room where Catherine was standing silently. "You look stunning," He complimented, and her cheeks tinted red. "Thank you," She smiled politely at the man. Though Rasmus was intimidating, Mr. Colt was on another level. At this age, he still looks so young and fit. Surely girls would swoon over him if he ever went to her university. She couldn't wait to see Avery's reaction when she would see Rasmus's dad. Just last week they announced their pregnancy to everyone and it was Emma who planned this small cozy wedding for Catherine. As the only human being in this pack. She knew the importance of marriage for a human. As for werewolves, their kind of marriage was when they mark and claim their mate but now if one of them was human, then marriage was a must. Catherine was in tears when Emma announced their marriage and Rasmus was the happiest as he took her shopping on the same day. But they didn't go alone. Davis and four other men came along with them in anoth
