“What the fuck do you mean she’s missing? Her bond feels like, like she’s just sleeping. Did you check our room? She’s been getting tired more easily,” I said, trying to convince myself that’s all it was, it had to be.
I got a rotten feeling from her parents, and it was only the first time I’d met them. I didn’t like that she had to drop on them all at once that she was mated, and pregnant. They were clearly not happy but they also didn’t strike me as surprised. I made a mental note to ask Susie to spend a few minutes with them but I never got around to it.
Maybe Ryan had told them? Someone else? Maybe they were going to just take her anyhow? Fuck this can’t be real! I stormed into our bedroom, but it was stupid. I didn’t sense her close anymore
