Chapter 27: Splurging

Later in the evening, Rowan lay in bed staring at the ceiling. It had been a really long day, beginning with Adria's nighttime encounter and the incident with Stacy.

There were so many things he still needed to learn about her. How did her powers work? What had changed when they... turned her? Was that what had happened to her?

Her test results would be back tomorrow, probably, and Rowan trusted Jaina to help them discover what had happened, at least on a genetic level.
