The dungeon was silent.

No one could hear what went inside, but in return, nothing could be heard from the outside.

Cold stone, chains against the walls, the stale scent of fear. Katherine stood in the center of the room, trembling but trying to hide it. I didn’t bother trying to tie her up. I knew that she wasn’t a fool to try and run.
