I was surprised he would be there, what is he doing there?.I stroded down the hallway in long strides, my feet light on the ground, I came to a halt at the door of Ethan’s former room, it was creaked open a little, I could see his back, he was standing straight and tall, looking at win

ETHAN.I watched the trees dancing to the rhythm of the wind, the fields so green and bright, the birds flying free, a life I once sought and now I have it.Happy and relieved. Its been a month after the war, I never thought such a day will come when I will be standing in my room, here in Dragonblood territory. I would have laughed it off, if I was told I would survive the immense tortue and live.THREE YEARS AGO.I was in the field dishing out orders to the other guards, when I was summoned. “Commander, you have been summoned to the court chambers immediately.” Yuan, the imperial guard

SEAN.The ceiling was wrong. That was the first thought when I opened my eyes. Not the rough stone of Veilmar Hollow or the open sky of a battlefield. This was the white ceiling I had stared at countless times growing up.My bedroom. In Crescent Pack territory.I sat up slowly, expecting pain. Expecting the sharp bite of broken ribs, the burn of torn muscles, the ache of a body pushed past its limits. But there was nothing. I looked down at my chest, pulled up my shirt. The wound from the Dark Witch’s blast—gone. Not even a scar. Just clean, unmarked skin.“What&

We don’t let her face this alone.”We pushed through the chaos inside the dome. Wolves parted for us, some still fighting scattered sol

ISABELLA.The world stopped.I saw Isaiah fall. Watched his body go still beside Sean. Saw the arrow—that cursed, poison-dripped arrow—piercing from his chest like some artwork. My legs wouldn’t move. My lungs forgot how to pull air. Everything around me—the screams, the clash of battle, the smell of blood and smoke—faded into a dull roar, like I was underwater.Isaiah.“No,” I heard myself say. It sounded far away, like someone else was speaking. “No, no, no.”I started walking. Then running. My feet stumbled over bodies, living and dead. I didn&

SEAN.“Fall back to the ridge!” Alpha Alexandro bellowed, his voice hoarse from shouting orders. Blood matted his gray fur.“No—push forward!” That was Ethan, already charging ahead with his pack flanking both sides. “We break their line now or we lose everything!”.I shook off the daze from hitting the ground, forcing my legs to work. Around me, the battlefield had erupted into pure chaos. Wolves everywhere—hundreds of them—pouring in from every direction. The northern packs had arrived, their howls cutting through the night. From the east, I heard the war cries of the coastal clans. South and west, more allies flooded in, a sea of fur and fang
