A Past Encounter

Cora sees Scout Victor watching her in the House Pack area. It's directly across from the window of the woman's room.

Cora is a little worried. Victor gives her a cynical look. Suddenly, Cora's cell phone also rings with an incoming message. It turns out to be from Victor.

[I know you're wearing my sister's dress. I hope you don't wear it again. You don't deserve it!"]

The message from Victor made Cora uncomfortable.

"Should I just change my clothes? I think I have a dress I can wear. It's simple, but at least I'll be safe and comfortable," Cora thought.

She hurried to open her closet, but just as she was about to undress. Ethan entered the room.

"Come on, baby! There's no time, we've got to go!

"Do you think I should just change?" Cora asked instead. Ethan was surprised.

"What do you mean, just put them on? Let's go!"

Cora obeyed her husband's words, even though she knew Victor was still silently watching her.
