Chapter 39

Kane's POV:

I stare at my packed bag by the foot of my bed. I cancelled the hotel last night, opting to go to my apartment instead. I hate hotels, and the only reason I booked the room in the first place was because of Willow.

I didn’t sleep well. Again. I didn’t know it was possible to be this tired and still function normally. I grab my bag and walk to the back of the castle. I told my father Patrick has to be on time, and it won’t look good if I am late.

I’m surprised to find him on the helipad, standing next to the chopper, his arms folded, looking smug as always. “Morning,” I say, slide open the helicopter’s back door, and throw my bag inside. “Get in,” I grumble and walk around to the cockpit.

“Who’s flying this thing?”

“I am.”

“Eh…forgive me, brother, but you don’t even look like you can stand straight, let alone operate a helicopter.”
