"Mom?" My voice breaks as I choke on my tears. 

"Aurie! It's you!" She screams in joy and sniffs. "I have been missing you so much. Where are you? And why did you run away?" 

"Mom, I—I can't explain it to you right now. You won't understand." 

"Why wouldn't I,sweetie? All my life I supported you. But leave that, how are you? Are you safe?" 

I close my eyes to restrain my tears and exhale sharply. "Yes mom. I am completely fine. How are you? How is everyone?" 

"We are not good, sweetie. Thomas has been crying since you are gone and your dad is so silent. He doesn't talk to anyone. He locked himself in his room and MoonGod knows what he's doing." 

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I know I screwed up mom. But I...I thought this is the best option." 

"But where are you, honey? Is it far?"
