Chapter 14: The Fortress of Protection

 

After the intense and challenging game in the lavish café ended with Lalisa's small, proud victory, the atmosphere between her and the Alphas seemed to change once again. The relationship, which had been purely one of controller and controlled, now had an added dimension of equality and exciting challenge. Lalisa had proven to them that she was not a meek and unconditionally submissive lamb, but an Omega with her own instincts and desires.

Nevertheless, the Alphas' power of possession and protection remained a prominent and undeniable force. And it was fully displayed one night that almost turned into a nightmare.

That night, after they left The Crimson Lounge and were walking back to the car parked in the restaurant's private lot, an unexpected incident occurred.

A group of four or five intoxicated Alpha men were walking in the opposite direction. They must have just come from a nearby bar. When their eyes fell on Lalisa, the only beautiful female Omega walking among a group of elegant and formidable female Alphas, their savage and uncontrolled primal instincts were immediately awakened.

“Wow… look at that, guys. How did a sweet-smelling Omega end up walking around here?” one of them said in a rude and lewd voice, his eyes openly staring at Lalisa's body.

“Maybe she got lost, or maybe… she wants to try something harder,” another added with a disgusting laugh.

Those vulgar words and threatening gazes made Lalisa freeze instantly. The terrible memories of the past that she had tried to forget flooded back into her mind. The fear that had faded was now gripping her heart again with a vengeance.

But before the fear could consume her any further, the strongest fortress in the world moved to surround her automatically.

In a flash, Lalisa's body was pulled into the center of a circle formed by the three Alphas. Kieran, Seren, and Kline had moved to create a human wall that was invisible but radiated immense power.

The atmosphere around them changed abruptly. The temperature dropped to a chilling degree. The pheromones that were once filled with desire and love now transformed into an aura of threat and aggression, so intense and oppressive that the group of Alpha men froze in their tracks.

Kieran's cedarwood scent was heavy and oppressive like an impending storm. Seren's dark chocolate scent was hot and aggressive like lava ready to burn everything. And Kline's lavender scent, once cool and pleasant, was now chillingly sharp like a knife hidden in the shadows.

“Is there a problem?” Kieran was the first to speak. Her voice was flat and cold, but it held a power that made the listeners' hair stand on end. Her grey eyes stared at the thugs with an empty and emotionless gaze, as if looking at filth not worth her attention.

“N-no, nothing,” the leader of the group, who seemed to be the most sober, quickly replied, stuttering. His survival instinct told him that the female Alpha in front of him was not someone to be trifled with.

“Then get lost… before you don't get a chance to walk out of here again,” Seren added in a fierce and aggressive voice. Her hands were clenched into fists so tight her knuckles turned white. Her muscular body was ready to pounce on its prey at any moment.

The thugs looked at each other in panic before quickly fleeing for their lives, leaving behind only the silence and the lingering tension in the air.

After the threat had passed, the oppressive atmosphere slowly dissipated. The Alphas' pheromones returned to normal, but the anger and possessiveness still shone clearly in their eyes.

Kline was the first to turn her attention to Lalisa, who was still trembling inside the circle. Her gentle hand stroked Lalisa's back lightly. “It's okay now, Liz… it's okay. We're here,” she whispered soothingly.

Kieran pulled Lalisa's trembling body into her strong arms. “I'm sorry… for letting this happen,” she said, her voice trembling with deep guilt.

Lalisa shook her head in Kieran's embrace. “It's not your fault at all,” she said, her voice muffled. Tears of relief and gratitude flowed uncontrollably.

In that moment, she no longer felt afraid, but safe and protected as never before. Their embrace was like the strongest shield in the world that nothing could break.

They led Lalisa back to the car in silence. On the way back to the penthouse, no one spoke, but their actions spoke louder than a million words.

Seren sat in the passenger seat but kept turning to look at Lalisa in the back with concerned eyes. Kline sat next to Lalisa and held her hand tightly the whole time. And Kieran, who was driving, kept glancing at Lalisa through the rearview mirror.

When they arrived at the penthouse, they didn't go to their separate rooms as usual. Instead, they took Lalisa to Kieran's bedroom, the largest and safest room in the house.

They gently helped her undress and wipe her down before laying her on the large bed. Then they lay down on either side of her, embracing her all at once.

The warmth from the three Alphas' bodies and their familiar pheromones enveloped Lalisa like the safest and warmest cocoon.

That night there was no fierce possession or hot lessons. There was only gentle and deep comfort and care.

Lalisa closed her eyes, nestled within the strongest fortress of protection in the world. She knew that as long as they were by her side, nothing could ever hurt her again.

And that night, she realized a truth with absolute clarity… that her heart no longer belonged to her. It had been given completely to these three Alphas… body and soul.
