Lucas’s POV

The city never sleeps, but it breathes slower after midnight—its heartbeat softened, its pulse quieter, its shadows a little darker, a little thicker, as if waiting to be broken open by something that doesn’t belong. And that’s exactly what I was—a ghost stepping into the mortal world, stalking a scent that didn’t belong to it, wearing the kind of purpose that doesn’t waver, doesn’t pause, and certainly doesn’t ask permission to burn everything in its path.

It had been a month.

Thirty fucking days since Damon disappeared. Since the earth cracked open and swallowed the one piece of me that mattered. Since the scent of him was ripped from my world like flesh from bone. Since Selina stood there and told me what I should’ve known—that he was mine. And in all that time, I hadn’t stopped hunting.

I had memorized the man’s posture, his gait, and the unnatural way he avoided every camera lens without ever breaking stride. I didn’t know his name, but I knew his skill. He was traine

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    My son

Lucas’s POVThe moment the wind shifted, I knew.It wasn’t logic, It wasn’t strategy. It wasn’t even scent, not at first. It was instinct—raw and screaming—like every molecule of my blood turned toward the same direction at once, pointing east like a compass forged from something older than flesh. Something primal. Something that whispered: ‘He’s near.’I had been running for hours. Not blindly—not like before when rage had blurred the edges of my vision and all I could see was Selina’s face, her silence, her betrayal—but with focus now. Purpose. The woods stretched endlessly before me, shadows moving like beasts between the trees, but I saw through all of it. My wolf, once fractured and howling inside me, was silent now—but not because he was gone. He was watching. Calculating. Poised like a blade waiting to strike. And the air told us where to go.A trace. Not blood. Not even fear. But something smaller, more delicate. The way a memory lingers in a child’s room, in a worn t-shirt,

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    The Man in the Van

Unknown POVHe had learned a long time ago that when a wolf is quiet, you don’t celebrate—you prepare. Because it’s not the growl that kills you. It’s the silence before the pounce. And the forest had gone silent. That night, after returning from a dead drop point in the hills where no signal bled and no satellites swept low, he felt it—not fear exactly, because fear implied vulnerability, and he had trained too long, killed too many, and vanished too well to be afraid of creatures that bled just like men. But what gripped him wasn’t comfort either. It was something colder. Something ancient. An instinct honed over two decades of ghostwork and government lies, of training with mercenaries who spoke in scars and silence. He knew what it meant when the wind stopped moving. He was being hunted. Not watched, just hunted. He stared out the small cabin’s cracked window, eyes flicking from tree to tree, from shadows to shapes that didn’t move quite right. He didn’t see anything. But his gut

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    Hunt What’s Ours

Lucas’s POVThe silence inside my chest didn’t last. It never does. Not when the truth is clawing through bone, not when the scent of your own blood cries out from a room you never knew existed, and certainly not when the beast inside you wakes up starving—for vengeance, for retribution, for the stolen breath of a child you’ve never held but would burn kingdoms to reclaim.Torren was louder than he had ever been.He wasn’t pacing anymore. He wasn’t whispering. He was roaring inside me, a hurricane of need and fury that eclipsed even my own thoughts, and for once, I didn’t want to quiet him. I wanted to listen. Because this time, he was right."They took what was ours."The words echoed again and again, his voice scraping against the walls of my mind like claws on stone, and every time they repeated, the vision grew clearer: Damon, hidden in some place I’d never seen, crying out for someone to find him, and us—too late, too blind, too fucking human to reach him in time.I didn’t sleep

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    The Proof in the Scent

Lucas’s POVI had spent the morning in silence, staring out at the woods from the edge of my territory, the memory of Selina’s voice playing on an endless loop in the back of my mind, like a needle stuck on the same aching lyric in a song that refuses to end. I had run. I had screamed. I had wrestled with the beast inside me until we both bled, but nothing brought peace. Nothing untangled the snarl of fury, confusion, and something dangerously close to hope that her words had left behind. So I did the only thing left that made sense. I went to her.The penthouse was in the city, a place I rarely ventured, a world built of concrete and control, glass and distance. I hated it. It smelled like artifice, like humans masking their rot with perfume and polished stone. But her scent was here, woven into every surface, and when I stood outside her door, something in my chest tightened—not in rage, but in recognition, as if some part of me had always known I’d come back here eventually, even i

  • Alpha’s Dark Redemption    The Beast Beneath the Bones

Lucas’s POVI ran until the world blurred. Trees screamed past in streaks of green and shadow, the moon a searing brand above me, and the forest—once mine, once familiar—now felt like a cage too small for the fury uncoiling beneath my skin.My paws dug trenches into the earth, claws raking through soil, and every breath was a battle between man and beast, between the chaos in my chest and the curse burning through my veins. The shift hadn’t freed me. It had trapped me deeper inside myself.Because no matter how far I ran, I could still hear her voice."He's yours."I stumbled. My front paw caught on a root, and I careened sideways, slamming into a tree trunk with enough force to make it quake. Bark split beneath my weight, but I didn’t feel it. Pain was nothing compared to what tore through me now.Mine.He was mine….My son.And I hadn’t known. I hadn’t protected him. I hadn’t even *wondered.*I let out a snarl so deep it rattled the air, birds erupting from their perches as if the fo
