Ava's POV

Isabella, my bridesmaid, is standing on all fours on the bed as Aiden violently thrusts into her.

“Yes, baby, yes,” Isabella pants. “Harder. Harder.”

She screams loudly as his fingers dig deeper into her hips as he obeys her request.

“Yes! Yes!” She shouts.

I want to turn around and run away. I want to cry and scream and shout. I want to throw up and crumble into a ball. But I do not. I am numb and lifeless. I am standing in the doorway, staring at my friend and fiancé as they satisfy their most carnal need. It is like standing on the tracks and watching the oncoming train heading right for you. You know you should move but you are frozen.

When Aiden cries out his orgasm, my heart shatters into a million pieces. Isabella wiggles her hips until she reaches her climax before she collapses forward on the bed.

“Thanks, babe,” Aiden slaps Isabella on her ass before he crawls onto the bed next to her. “You always know how to satisfy a man.”

“Unlike your wife to be?” She giggles and curls up in his arms.

“Come on,” he scoffs. “You know I can never pick her over you, she’s a weirdo.”

“Is that why you’re marrying her?” Isabella pouts as she draws circles on his chest with her finger. “Because she’s a weirdo?”

They are talking about me, I realize. I am standing right here, and they have no idea. They are so absorbed in their lust that they do not even see me. Are wolves not supposed to smell others? Or is the aroma of sex so overwhelming that they do not catch up on my scent?

“I don’t have plans to marry her at all,” he grunts. “And you know that. I’m just with her because of a dare I had with my friends”

“Awwwn… so pathetic?” Isabella sulks. “Moreover, shes just an Omega werewolf, she won’t feel the pain like a she-wolf. Then you and I can be together like we want to be.”

“So true my love,” he kisses her tenderly. “I know surely you will be my mate so Ava is just nothing but a loser.”

“But are you sure the pack will accept me as your new Luna,” she whimpers. “Because the all feel that she is the perfect Luna for you.”

“Surely my love, why not,” he smiles sweetly. “I promise you. Once the time comes. I will reject her and accept you as my new Luna.”

The more they talk, the more life returns to my loins. My initial shock and devastation have made space for pure, hot anger. My life has just turned into a cliché. Just like every other story, I am engaged to a cheating bastard. He did not even deviate from the plot and cheated with my enemy. No, it had to be my friend.

“Well,” I sneer as I cross my arms in front of my chest. “Isn’t this cosy?”

Both Isabella and Aiden jerk upright and stare at me in shock.

“Ava,” Aiden is the first to react and he scrambles out of bed. “This is not what you think. I … we …”

“Oh, spare me,” I spat the words angrily. “I watched the entire show. This is exactly what it looks like.”

“She’s right, Aiden,” Isabella smiles smugly as she pulls Aiden’s t-shirt over her head. “This is exactly what it looks like.”

“Isabella, not now,” Aiden hisses urgently.

“Why not now?” Isabella shrugs. “She’s seen and heard it all, there’s no use in denying it.”

“I thought you were my friend,” I look at her with disgust and hatred.

“How can I possibly be your friend when you want what’s mine?” She sneers as she steps closer to me.

“Yours?” I gape at her. “He’s my man.”

“He might be your man but he isn’t your mate,” she smirks as she places herself in front of me. “But I have his heart.”

“b***h!” I yell as the palm of my hand connects hard and loudly with her cheek.

Isabella’s head jerks to the side from the impact and she stumbles backwards.

“Isabella, baby,” Aiden rushes to her side. “Are you okay?”

“No,” she whimpers, and he cradles her into his embrace.

“You asshole,” I shout as I shove Aiden away from Isabella and he looks at me with shock. “I’m your fiancé. I gave you everything even my body. But you’re more concerned about your whore than you’re about me.”

“Ava, enough,” Aiden bellows as he grabs me by the wrists. His eyes are burning into mine. “You do not get to talk to me like that.”

"Let me clarify this so there's no more confusion. I reject you Ava as my mate and accept Isabella as my Luna, now and forever.", Aiden said.

“Fuck you,” I jerk my hands free from his hold. “And your whore.”

I look at them with anger and hatred as I pull off my engagement ring.

“Take this,” I shout and toss the ring at them. “Let her birth your heir, and good luck with becoming the next Luna.”

“Ava, wait,” Aiden turns pale as he reaches for me, but I had enough.

I turn on my heels and run as fast as I can.

“Ava, please,” Aiden runs after me. “Let’s talk about this like adults.”

“No,” I yell furiously as I turn to face him. “There is nothing to talk about. There is nothing that you can say or do to undo what I have witnessed. You made your bed, sleep in it.”

“Please,” he reaches for me, but I slap his hand away, turn around and run into the night.

Thorny branches scratched my arms and legs as I ran desperately through the black woods. The thin red dress she'd chosen to impress Aiden offered no protection. But I didn't care, I just kept running. My feet ached in the high heels but I didn't dare slow down. I had to put more distance between myself and the pack that betrayed me.

Finally, I collapsed in a small moonlit clearing, sides heaving as I gasped for breath. Curled up on the forest floor, I finally let the gut-wrenching sobs overtake my small body. Everything I thought I had, everything I thought I was, had been viciously ripped away in one night. I had nothing left. No family, no friends, no mate, no pack. I was utterly alone.

I wasn't sure how long I laid there crying, but eventually my tears ran dry. Sitting up slowly, I looked around the shadowy clearing. Moonlight filtered through the trees, but I had no idea where I was. The forest was dangerous at night, especially for a lone omega. But at least here, I was free from Aiden and my pack's cruelty. I took a deep, shaky breath. I had no choice now but to keep moving forward alone. This marked a new beginning in her life, for better or worse.

What would become of me now?

Ava’s POVAiden, still perched on the stool, smiled smugly. "Did you think I would let you walk away so easily after bringing Logan here?"Ava's surprise was palpable. "Wasn't our deal to make Logan confess his crimes?" she questioned, her disbelief evident.Aiden's laughter echoed through the room. "Oh, my dear Ava, you were a pawn in a much larger game. Our plans went beyond what you could see. We were using you all along."Ava's eyes widened, a mixture of shock and anger contorting her expression. She struggled against the guards, attempting to break free from the invisible chains that held her."No," she exclaimed, desperation lacing her voice. "This can't be happening."Isabella, Aiden's partner in deception, approached Ava from behind. "Oh, dear Ava, you were so blinded by your anger that you failed to see the bigger picture. We never intended to set you free. You were merely a means to an end."Ava's world crumbled around her as the realization sank in. Aiden and Isabella had m

Logan’s POV In a fit of rage, I tightened my grip on Aiden, my desire for answers overwhelming me. "Tell me the truth, Aiden! What have you done to Ava?" I snarled, my patience wearing thin. Aiden, still chuckling, managed to straighten his disheveled shirt. "What if I told you those triplets are yours?" he sneered, reveling in my shock. I recoiled, disbelieving. "That's a lie! Ava would never have an affair with a bastard like you!" I retorted, my blood boiling. Aiden's laughter only intensified. "Oh, but Logan, what if we hear it from the horse's mouth?" he teased, his words dripping with malicious intent. In a blind rage, I drew a knife, the metallic glint reflecting the anger in my eyes. "You're lying!" I growled, my voice low and menacing. Aiden, seemingly unafraid, continued to taunt me. "What if Ava herself confirmed it? What if she admitted that those triplets are a product of our secret affair?" he jeered, the revelation slicing through me like a knife. Rage consumed m

Logan’s POVThe pain was all over me, like being stung by a bunch of bees at once. My body felt all shaky, and I could taste blood in my mouth. I couldn't let them win, though. Not for me, but for my wife, Ava. I had to show them I was stronger than they thought by getting up.It was like, "Come on, Logan, you can do this." I tried to get up, even though the ground was hard and my body felt heavy. I could see fuzzy forms moving as the world spun around me. There was talk, but it sounded like whispers from far away. "Ava needs me," I groaned. I can't let them keep me down." The pain was like a fire burning inside me, but I focused on my love for my wife. I had to get back on my feet. One of the guys—the one with the sneer—kicks me in the stomach with his foot. I gasped for air, feeling like all the wind got knocked out of me. I fell back to the ground, my body hurting all over. "You won't break me," I whispered to myself, trying to find power in those words. The men were laughing no

Logan’s POVI couldn't shake the unease settling in the pit of my stomach as I glanced once more at the mysterious man across the room. Ava's laughter and the clinking of utensils against plates filled the air, but my attention was fixated on the stranger, who seemed to be deliberately avoiding eye contact this time.Ava noticed the shift in my demeanor and reached across the table to gently touch my hand. "Logan, you seem really distant. Are you sure everything's okay?"I forced myself to smile, appreciating Ava's concern. "Yeah, just lost in thought. You know how it is sometimes." I didn't want to worry her further, but the weight of the unknown pressed on me.Ava studied me for a moment before nodding. "Okay, if you say so. But if there's anything you want to talk about, I'm here."Taking a deep breath, I decided to confide in Ava, albeit cautiously. "Actually, I did see someone earlier. A guy who seems to be watching us. It's probably nothing, but it's got me a bit on edge."Ava's
