Fifty Two

I got to my chamber and freshened up. I went into my room and sat on my bed, smiling. I was so happy with how the meeting concluded today. Everyone was on my side.

“Tomorrow by dawn, we will assume our positions for war. If it’s war Gertrude wants, it’s war he will get,” I said angrily.

I lay in my bed and slept off.

I woke up even before the sun had risen, I was sure everyone else prepared for the battle had risen.

I yawned and quickly headed to my bathroom to take a bath. After I was done with my bath, I quickly got dressed for the occasion. I wore a thick layer of animal skin on my upper body and on my lower body, I wore tight jeans that would help me move more flexibly while fighting. I was ready and all I needed to do was to check if my soldiers were ready.

“Aden! Aden!” I called.

“Yes ma’am,” he rushed into the room and gestured a bow.

“I want you to assemble everybody in the banquet hall, I want to give them their armor and I also want to spread some word of encouragement
