AMALA

I have no other choice. If I want a higher chance of escape, I should blend in with the crowd.

So I stole some clothes and threw my old, worn ones to the incinerator.

The dress doesn't even look exactly expensive either. The bodice dark blue dress that hugs the curves of my body is a bit short as its skirt reaches at the tip of my knees. I kicked off my old combat navy boots and replaced them with black leather shoes which were conveniently situated next to the dress.

I do hope I won't attract attention, seeing that I just sneakily come out from the lower ground floor.

Fortunately, they are too distracted with the music, the loud chatters and the food they consume that once again, I am lucky enough to roam casually around.

The place I am in now is the function room of the Diamond Hotel. I recognize the familiar faces of affluent families from the human side. These are those who benefit the wolves and remain wealthy as long as they provide what the wolves want.

Yet, this is the first time I'm seeing the two races blend together in one place, enjoying without a sound of prejudice.

No, I don't have time to dawdle, I need to leave quietly.

However, when I pass by the buffet table, my stomach grumbles as my eyes glue at the sight of fancy food I will never get in a lifetime.

And next to it, as I can't help my lips curved into a smile, is filled with more berries. Is today a berry festival for these wolves?

"Excuse me," one of the staff of the hotel approaches me with a clear skeptical look in his eyes. "Do you mind showing us your ID as your proof of identification?"

Oh, crap. I spoke too soon that I would be safe from their suspicions.

I turn to them as I give my most dazzling smile.

"Do you ask this to every human in the vicinity, young gents?"

The two exchange looks. "Err…we are asking because we haven't seen you before."

"Oh my," I say with exaggeration as I give a dramatic gasp. Then give them a glare. "How could you not know that I, Audrey Hepburn, a world renowned thespian of stage plays, huh?"

"Ma'am, your name isn't in the list."

"Then, shall I ask the Alpha, Richard Bates, to come here for confirmation, hm?" I smirk. "I happen to know him personally and I’m well acquainted with the Alpha. I am sure he wouldn't mind meeting you, gents and having a "private" talk."

They both flinch at the mention of Amy's biological dad. He's notoriously known around the human district for being too cruel to humans like us.

"I'm s-sorry, ma'am. W-we thought—'' his face turns red with embarrassment. "If you excuse us."

And the staff members scurry away, leaving me alone as I continue acting haughty and entitled and give a loud harumph.

Not going to lie, it was a whim that I pulled through this act and I am proud of my performance.

Now, I can't go out until I am completely off the radar of the guests here. I sigh as my eyes wander back to the buffet table and I feel like I am salivating.

M-maybe I will stay here a bit and I can sneak some food down to my bag. I’m sure they won’t notice a thing. Amy will be delighted to have these luxurious food for dinner.

As I slowly gather my food and give those who are staring at me with my smile, I am thinking everything will be fine.

I will be back home safe before I know it.

"Welcome to the Red Moon Celebration," a young beautiful woman catches our attention at the stage. "As it is nearly midnight, I would like to thank all of you for attending this event."

The guests applaud afterwards and while their attention is on that emcee, I immediately grab some turkey meat and put them inside my bag.

"We will also thank our Alpha and Luna of the Greymound Pack for sponsoring this event."

More applause and cheers.

Good, good. I can't help but hum to my content to get more food. All of these will be all in my bag and if only I have a container, I can bring that pasta.

"To the fortunate humans who are chosen to be here, witness your first Red Moon celebration with us." She chuckles. "Of course, you humans can't see it but oh well, be thankful that you are all here with us tonight.”

I roll my eyes. Like I give a damn.

"Now that it is only a minute before the Red Moon, let the celebration begin!"

Well, go ahead and enjoy your time, wolves. Don't mind me gathering more food but as I give a sideways glance to look at the female emcee, my hand nearly drops the chicken meat as I am taken aback from what I’ve just seen.

The female emcee strips herself naked in front of the audience as her red, glittery night dress drops on the floor. Her breasts and her bare womanhood are exposed for everyone to see.

"W-what the–?" I gasp.

Not long after, the wolves all strip themselves naked while the remaining people are at awe at their beauty.

Hot bodies glisten with sweat and I blush at the sight of multiple hardened dicks from male wolves as they look like they’re ready to pounce.

When the dark misty clouds slowly dissipate and reveal a huge full moon, the wolves' eyes turn red before tackling each other with a searing kiss.

Next to me the male wolf slams his female mate against the buffet table as platters of food shatter on the floor. I flinch as two hottest people I've seen in my life are making out next to the pasta chafing dish as his dick positions on her hole before giving one powerful thrust.

"AAAAAAAAH!”

The woman gives a euphoric scream that I give a frightful shriek. But my own scream is being muffled by the moans and grunts of the whole function room.

The aroma of sex is filled in the air as I am beyond shocked and repulsed by the sight of public indecency.

I was expecting them to dance or drink some kind of fancy wine, not some damn orgy!

So, this is what the Red Moon is about? To fuck at midnight until dawn? Wolves are indeed disgusting creatures!

'I need to get outta here!' I take my bag and am ready to leave but a large hand grabs my wrist.

I shiver, fear strikes me as I slowly turn around.

One of the wolves with red eyes staring lustfully at me.

"Where do you think you're going, human?"

"Let go of me!"

What should I do? He won’t budge even if I use all of my strength to pull myself away. Yet, the wolf only laughs at my futile attempt.

“Get off of her.”

Like a strong force, a hand pushes the wolf away from me with one hand and I clumsily fall against a strong body, pressing my back against his firm one. As cliche as it sounds, it makes me feel protected by the touch of my back on his.

When I turn to face him, my eyes widen as I regret calling him my protector.

Eyes glimmer crimson red similar to the wolves lusting for a mate.

Startled, I examine him once more. "Are you sure you are an Omega?"According to my lessons, wolves' rank and prestige define their looks…well, mostly about their beauty. So, it is hard to believe with those looks, he should be more of an Alpha!"Ah, I get that a lot but I was born from a normal omega gardener and a female human. That's where I got her looks from. You heard them calling me a hybrid, right?""Ah…right." The heat on my cheeks hasn't faded away as I keep embarrassing myself to this stranger. "My name is Amala Gaines, soon-to-be Luna. Forget the animosity they had earlier, the ambience changed from somber to joy when Finrel offered food and drinks to every attendee. Once they were busying themselves with food and liquor, the female omegas brought me to the room at a nearby luxurious hotel. "The Alpha wants you to wear this dress, Future Luna," says one of the women. Before me lies a long rose gold overskirt dress which reaches until the floor. On its dummy, I can see a matching color of the rhinestone crystal headband. "Beautiful." A word slips through my lips as I am mesmerized by the beauty of this dress. Not even once have I seen human girls wearing this fancy get-up in a lifetime. This truly defines how far our statuses are between wolf and human."Hello, Future Luna, I will be handling your hair and my assistants for your make-up." Another female wolf enters the room who looks like she's in her mid-40s. "S-sure.

AMALA= The Announcement Day = The moon hangs low in the dark violet sky, casting a silver glow over the Square Avenue—the center of the main city where all the wolves of the Greymound pack have been gathered for this important event.Or more likely they are unwilling to, seeing their begrudging looks when their eyes center on me, the “star” of this evening. But I’m not surprised with those stares: I would be damned to see an inferior being ruling over them if I were in their shoes. So, I have already braced myself for this coming day. Now, standing at the center of the square where the podium is, despite my readiness of this prejudice, I can still feel the shiver running down my spine for this momentous announcement.I still keep my poker face yet within my thoughts, I am beyond agitated because all I want is to get over this and be done with all of these werewolf bull crap.I glance at Seth who hasn’t spoken to me even once and I silently hope my “impatience” can reach his strong

"By the way, is this natural pulp orange? We don't have that there at the border."He shakes his head. "H-how did you know?" He continues shaking his head. "Never mind. I don't need to know."He stands up as he starts pacing back and forth. "So, is it because I was too obvious? What should I do?""Calm down, Finrel." I pat his shoulder. "You are consistent in keeping that poker face of yours, Finrel. You don't have to worry about being caught.
