20. Her Perplexing past 

When Alan returned feeling convinced that she had been punished enough with ignorance, he only fountld the fruit basket placed in its old place, untouched. She was nowhere to be seen around either. 

But his wolf can smell her. Not just her but also salt in the air. She was around only. When he followed the fragrance of her body he found her sitting by the side of a tree crying to herself.

She was tired and her stomach churned in hunger. He smiled to himself as he could see how stubborn his mate was. 

"Why are you sitting here? I told you to eat the fruits." Alan took a seat next to her on the ground.

The soil was cold. He felt heat radiating from her body. She was shivering and her warmth was reducing at the same time.

"Come on eat this." he forwarded the fruit basket to her.
