Alpha Alan stared at her retreating figure as he gulped a knot of surprise down his throat. just so easily she announced they should part ways as if it was a cakewalk.
His wolf growled, pumping his blood, and he set a foot ahead in order to follow her. He urged to grab her harshly and mutter in her ears about how he risked his life to save hers. About how insane her statement sounded. About how wrong it was for her to go with another wolf when her destined mate was here.
