41. Clash of the wolves

 "You're wrong," asserted Alan as he took a slow march towards them.

His presence was not appreciated, it can be seen in Lisa's eyes. Rather a feeling of dread filled her chest when Alan stood before Jeremy. He took the wooden shaft from Jeremy's hand and trailed its length with his long fingers and thumb. 

"One of the first rules of sword fighting is that you never strike your blade until you sense yourself in danger." Remarked Alan, he was kind of hurt since Lisa, his mate, didn't think it important to tell him before stepping out of the cave. 

She had never been so annoying until yesterday. 

'There are so many things that have not happened before, her discomfort on seeing you included.' Alois scoffed in his mind.

I love the chapter but it feels like it ended in the heat of the moment. I understand the need for a cliffhanger but this is just painful…...
