The Crash

Author: Alyssa H.
(Zack's POV)

I nearly choked on my drink when I saw Natalie Silverstone waltz into the VIP room of Moon's Shadow with Emma Winters. They looked like they owned the place, and honestly, with Emma's connections, they practically did.

"Holy shit," Henry whispered beside me, his eyes wide. "Is that Natalie?"

I nodded, watching as they settled at a table not far from us. Two male models—professional escorts from the entertainment district by the looks of their polished appearances—joined them moments later. The guys were clearly hired for show, sitting at a respectful distance while still appearing attentive.

The VIP room was spacious enough that their presence didn't crowd us, but close enough that I couldn't pretend not to notice. This was bad. Very bad.

I'd been explicitly ordered to keep an eye on Natalie, not to actually witness her entertaining other males. Florian would lose his mind. He might actually kill those models, and then possibly me for allowing it to happen.

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Escalation and Acknowledgment

(Natalie's POV)The crowd of wolves parted like water as I walked toward Samuel Carter, the bloody utility knife still in my hand. His face had gone deathly pale, eyes wide with terror as I approached. No one dared step in my way after what they'd just witnessed.Samuel's survival instinct finally kicked in. He turned and bolted down the hallway, nearly slipping in the blood Connor Redwood had left behind. His footsteps echoed against the walls as he ran for his life.I followed at a casual pace, watching him stumble out of the building. When he turned back to look at me, I tossed the broken, bloody blade of the silver utility knife at his feet. It clattered on the concrete, flashing in the sunlight."Next time, it won't be a warning," I called out, offering him my coldest smile.Samuel's face contorted in pure terror. He scrambled backward, nearly tripping over his own feet before turning and running even faster than before. I could practically hear his silent vow never to set fo

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   A Bloody Encounter

(Natalie's POV)"Natalie Silverstone, don't you think it's time you acknowledged our engagement?"The words hung in the air of my cramped studio cubicle at the New Zealand Academy of Art. I slowly set down my paintbrush and turned to face Connor Redwood, who stood blocking the entrance, his broad shoulders nearly touching both sides of the doorframe. His auburn hair was perfectly styled, and his expensive leather jacket reeked of entitlement.Behind him, Samuel Carter nodded eagerly, his thin face alight with malicious anticipation."Engagement?" I repeated, my voice deliberately cold. "I wasn't aware we had any arrangement."Connor's lips curled into what he probably thought was a charming smile. "I proposed a mate bond to the Silverstone pack. They accepted the ceremonial items. By pack law, that makes us engaged."I stared at him, letting the silence stretch uncomfortably long. The small space suddenly felt suffocating with both of them crowding the entrance."She should beha

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Unfinished Business

(Natalie's POV)I was jarred awake by a playful pat on my backside, a habit Florian had developed that never failed to annoy me. Opening my eyes to his amused amber gaze, I expected our usual routine—light exercise followed by breakfast. Instead, what awaited me was nothing short of torture."Today, we're taking it to the next level," Florian announced, his voice carrying that distinctive Alpha command tone.By "next level," he apparently meant pushing me beyond every physical limit I thought I had. The training session was brutal—interval sprints, weighted exercises, and complex movements that left my muscles trembling. Two hours after we'd finished, my heart still raced uncomfortably in my chest."Your recovery rate is improving," Florian noted clinically, attaching some kind of professional pack-healer monitoring device to my wrist. The small screen displayed my pulse, oxygen levels, and other metrics I didn't recognize.I sat passively on the sofa, too exhausted to even lift m

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Reunion and Recovery

(Third-person's POV)The evening air carried a distinct chill as Natalie Silverstone stepped out of the New Zealand Academy of Art building. Her shoulders ached from hours hunched over her latest canvas, but the satisfaction of progress outweighed the discomfort. She adjusted the strap of her bag, heading toward the usual pickup spot where a Nightshade pack beta would be waiting with her assigned car.To her surprise, the space was empty. No black SUV, no beta wolf standing at attention.Natalie checked her phone, brow furrowing. The Nightshade pack was meticulous about schedules—they were never late."Strange," she muttered, scanning the parking area.Perhaps they'd parked elsewhere today? Construction had been ongoing near their usual spot. She walked a few paces further, still seeing no sign of her transportation. The wind picked up, sending a shiver through her despite her jacket. The temperature was dropping rapidly with the setting sun. After waiting another five minutes, N

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   A New Beginning

(Natalie's POV)The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the academy grounds as I watched Derek Nightshade scanning the area. His amber eyes, so similar to Florian's yet somehow warmer, settled on a black SUV parked behind the motorcade."Your sister-in-law, Isabella, hasn't quite recovered from the territory-crossing journey and fell asleep in the car," he explained with a gentle smile. "I couldn't bring myself to wake her. We'll have a proper introduction next time.""Of course," I nodded, both relieved and disappointed. I'd heard so much about the legendary Isabella Nightshade—her combat prowess, her unusual background."Isabella focuses on maintaining her strength," Derek continued. "Past battle-related injuries require her to rest more than most wolves. I hope you don't mind her absence.""Not at all," I assured him, touched by his consideration.Derek's expression shifted, becoming more serious. "About my brother... Florian has been indulged by the pack since he was a you

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   An Unexpected Visit

(Natalie's POV)The afternoon light streamed through the studio windows as I worked on my latest piece. My hands were covered in paint, alternating between brushes and my fingertips to create texture on the canvas. I was so absorbed in my work that when my phone rang, I nearly knocked over a jar of mineral pigment reaching for it.Florian's name flashed on the screen. I quickly wiped one hand on a rag before answering."Hello?""Natalia." His voice was crisp and clear despite the distance. "The contract for the 'Ancient Wolf Legends' project has arrived and needs your signature.""Oh?" I set my brush down. "I thought you were handling all the paperwork.""I'm still in the Northern Territory," he replied. "Some pack matters require my presence longer than anticipated. I've sent Derek to handle it."I froze. "Derek? Your brother? He's coming here?""He's already there. At your school.""What? Now?" I glanced down at my paint-splattered clothes and worn rain boots in horror. "You

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Unspoken Affection

(Florian's POV)The morning sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of our apartment, casting long shadows across the polished floor. I had risen early as usual, completing my morning training regimen while Natalie still slept. As I walked toward the kitchen, intending to prepare breakfast, something on the wall caught my eye. I stopped, momentarily confused by what appeared to be my own reflection where no mirror should be.But it wasn't a reflection at all.Taking a step closer, I realized what I was looking at. A transparent acrylic sheet had been carefully adhered to the window. Intricate scratches covered its surface, barely visible to the naked eye. But those scratches, when illuminated by the morning sunlight, projected a perfect silhouette onto the blank wall—my portrait. The level of detail was astonishing. My usual stern expression, the slight furrow between my brows, the sharp line of my jaw, even the way my dark hair fell across my forehead—all captured flawl

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Midnight Confessions

(Natalie's POV)The hotel room was bathed in the soft glow from a single floor lamp. I stood there, watching Florian sleep on the sofa. It was strange seeing him like this—vulnerable, peaceful, his usual intensity momentarily softened by sleep. He was covered with only a thin blanket despite the room's cool temperature.I approached quietly, curious. I'd never had the chance to observe him like this before. He was always so alert, so in control.Without warning, his eyes snapped open. I froze mid-step, startled by the sudden movement."What are you doing?" he asked, his voice clear and alert as if he hadn't been asleep at all.I stumbled backward, caught off guard. Florian reached out with lightning speed, steadying me before I could fall."Sorry," he said, releasing me once I'd regained my balance. "Force of habit.""You weren't really sleeping?" I asked.Florian sat up, running a hand through his slightly disheveled hair. "I was. But I wake up instantly if someone approaches.

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Interlude

(Natalie's POV)I blinked awake, disoriented by the brightness streaming through the car window. The sky above the Northern Territory was turning white with early morning light. For a moment, I struggled to remember how I'd gotten here, my mind still foggy from the long flight.Had we arrived? I couldn't recall the landing or the transfer to this car.Through the windshield, I spotted Florian standing outside. His tall figure was unmistakable, his black coat lifting slightly in the morning breeze. Two men in discreet suits approached him, handing over a small handbag. He turned, catching me watching him, and smiled invitingly. My limbs felt stiff and numb as I climbed out of the car. The cold morning air helped clear the last traces of sleep from my mind."Where are we?" I asked, taking in our surroundings. We stood on what appeared to be a famous Northern Territory shopping street, beside a well-positioned hotel. I noticed subtle signs of pack security stationed at strategic poi
