View MoreLana watched people move around her as she walked to the Cafe. She always loved people watching. Everyone seemed to bustle about, yelling and laughing. She smiled to herself as she saw a little girl in a sundress dance around her mother up ahead. Everyone the main characters in their own lives. Her pocket started to vibrate and she took out her phone to look at it, smiling at the name on the screen. She slid the answer button across and held her phone to her ear.
"Jason" She answered in a sing song voice. A husky chuckle sounded from the other end. She could almost imagine the little smirk on his face. He did always find it funny when she called him that. "Where are you?" He questioned in an amused voice. As she got near the Cafe entrance she spotted him leaning against the wall by the door, looking the other way. A playful smile crossed her face as she snuck up behind him. "Guess~" She teased, covering his eyes with her hands. She felt him smile as he grabbed her hand and pulled it off. Locking their fingers together and turned and smiled down at her. "You kept me waiting." Jason pouted and handed her a bouquet of lilac flowers. "What are these for?" Lana looked at them and smiled softly as she stood on her toes to kiss his cheek. "Because I missed you." Jason smiled and pulled her out of the heat into the air conditioned Cafe. They ordered iced coffee at the counter and sat at a private corner booth by the window. Lana put her flowers down and rested her chin on her palm and watched as he scrolled through his phone, presumably his ever full email. She stared at him for a few minutes and pouted when he continued to read. "Wow, your hair isn't styled today." Lana reached over and tugged on his hair lightly, trying to get his attention. "I stayed up all night composing at the studio." He took a sip of his drink and continued to scroll. "It's so rare that your hair is natural..."She tugged his hair again. "Hey!" He laughed, holding her hands away. "You don't like me touching your hair?" She laughed fake pouting, trying to tug on his hair again. They always acted childish around each other. When they met in college, they became instant friends. She was an aspiring photographer and he was in the music program. People always thought they were a funny combination. She was always reading or taking pictures of plants, buildings skies and anyone willing to pose for her. He was always pulling late nights over sheet music or running to meetings. Music brought them together. They always supported each others decisions and offered a shoulder to lean on when times were tough. Especially when he decided to audition for an idol company, while she went to New York to study at a film academy for a year. The career paths they chose weren't the easiest, but they had passion. And that passion is what made them realize they should try out being more than friends. They understood each other, so it seemed like a good idea. "Stop it." - He swatted her away again, laughing.-" Are you coming over tonight? I have a meeting at the studio, but the guys want to see you." "Aww, you do?" Lana pouted and hugged his arm. "Yeah, sorry babe." He kissed her pouting lips. "I understand." She sighed and leaned away from him. "Should I bring anything?" "Bring snacks." He answered immediately, making them both laugh. There was hardly ever any food at the loft since the guys were always at auditions or shooting. His roommates were a mix of his college buddies all making their way in the entertainment industry. She had joined their group after their bonds were formed, but she loved them. "Well..." - He didn't finish and started laughing himself, putting his arm around her shoulders.- "You know they adore you." "That's because I'm cooler than you." She stole his drink and acted nonchalant. "Don't be delusional baby." He went back to reading his emails. "I have to go to a shoot soon, so I'll see you later. You better be there when I come over!" She stood up and gave him a kiss on the cheek before walking out of the Cafe. Lana walked out the Cafe and waved down a cab, given the address to her studio she leaned back and stared out the window. Putting in her headphones in, she turned on one of her most recent playlists. Trying to set a mood for the current season. Before she met Jason and the boys she would just listen to random songs without a thought. But now she liked making playlists according to feelings, seasons, events, and so on. It was like living life with your own personal soundtrack. She especially liked creating mood playlists for her photo shoots, it made the whole grueling experience a lot better for everyone involved. Her only scheduled shoot today was for her best friend Sora, who wanted desperately to get into the film industry. Lana had promised to help her any way she could, including free head shots and moral support. As one would expect of their best friend. They had met after college, around the time she started dating Jason. She was one of the few people she trusted the most, especially with the knowledge of their relationship. Of course Sora was a bit salty they didn't get to have a lot of single ladies nights before Lana was officially in a relationship. Sora never said much on the topic, but she did often comment about wishing she had the same thing as Lana. The thought of setting her up with one of the guys often came to mind. Jason was never a big fan of the idea however, so she always let the topic fade after a few mildly tense conversations about why it wasn't a good idea. Sighing to herself, she paid the cab once arriving to her studio and got ready to get to work.Lana had barely slept a wink. She had just layed there staring at Jason as he slept. She couldn't bare to refuse him when he begged to stay and the glimpse of violence had made her heart race in a terrifying way. Perhaps it was the guilt that made her feel like she owed him that much. She couldn't leave him yet, she would just have to give him time to process. She traced her finger lightly over his eye brow, his nose, his lips. He looked so peacful when he was a sleep. If she told him what she did he would probably hate her, but more importantly he would hate Clark. She couldn't stand the thought of causing a rift between them. She could never understand when she heard about people betraying their friends. Now that she was in those shoes she had a bit more clarity. "If you watch me while I'm asleep I might get a funny idea." He suddenly spoke making her jolt. "How long have you been awake for?" She asked feeling embarassed, he opened his eyes and smirked at her. "Why? Did you do
Lana woke up startled by the sound of someone banging on her door. She groaned and pulled the blanket over her head, hoping whoever it was would eventually give up. When the knocking continued for another five minutes she reluctantly got out of bed. Picking up her phone she checked the time as she sluggishly walked toward the door. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes as her stomach growled loudly. She had slept almost the entire day and hadn't eaten anything yet. All she wanted was to get rid of whoever was incessantly knocking on her door this late at night. "I'm coming already!" She yelled frustrated as she swung the door open. Her annoyance was immediately replaced with shock. Of all the people in the world she wanted to avoid right now, the one person she wanted to see the least was standing right in front of her. Jason. She stared at him for a moment before looking away, not wanting to meet his eyes. Neither of them said anything. A minute seemed to pass as they simply stood
The door slammed shut behind Lana. Clark stood motionless in the hallway, staring at it. For a few seconds, he didn't move. He could still smell her. Her scent lingered everywhere-in his room, on his clothes, against his skin. It was stronger than it had ever been before. The connection beneath his skin seemed to pulse with every beat of his heart, reminding him that something between them had permanently changed. He touched his chest imagining that be could feel the invisible string that flowed out to train after Lana. A slow smile tugged at his lips. She was his mate. His wolf had known it long before he did and soon Lana would start feeling the pull. Even if she couldn't name the feeling. Now she carried his mark. Clark knew he should feel guilty for doing it without explaining. But the intensity of finally being with her made him loose control over his wolf and he surged forward in that moment to fulfill the claiming. Instead, he felt strangely calm. He had spent yea
Lana woke up feeling sluggish and achy, she felt sore from her neck straught to her toes. Groaning she tried to stretch only to find she couldn't move. An arm was thrown over her waist holding her against a warm body. For a moment she thought it was Jason, until she realized that they were both naked. Her sleep clouded mind snapped into attention, she gasped and tried to move away. Finally remembering what happened the night before and who exactly was holding her. She was being held against Clark's chest, locked in place. She had barely moved an inch when he pulled her closer to his body. Pressing his face into her hair and rubbing himself against her. She started to squirm and away enough to get a glimpse of his face. She sighed in slight relief when she realized he was still sleeping. She couldn't help but blush when she felt something hard pressing against her back. Sleeping he looked so much younger and vulnerable, his hair falling onto his face in a messy heap. Lana light
