Unshed Tears

Author: Alyssa H.
(Natalie's POV)

Charlotte's laughter rang out across the restaurant as she recounted her latest mishap at the Academy. I couldn't help but smile as she gestured wildly, nearly knocking over her half-empty glass of moonlight wine.

"And then," she continued breathlessly, "the instructor just stared at me like I'd sprouted a second head!"

It felt good to laugh freely. The weight of my new mate bond, my role within the Nightshade pack, all of it seemed to lighten in Charlotte's vibrant presence. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed simple friendship during my whirlwind experience with Florian.

The restaurant had nearly emptied around us, the hour growing late. I glanced at the clock and was shocked to see we'd been talking for over three hours.

"I should probably get going," Charlotte said, noticing my glance. "I'm meeting another classmate for a late study session."

"At this hour?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.

Charlotte winked mischievously. "Some of us actually need to study

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   The Gauntlet Thrown

(Third-person's POV)Two days had passed since the art team's decision to promote Claire Redwood's accusations, and the werewolf territory networks had erupted into chaos. What had started as a local art controversy in Silvercrest Valley had spread like wildfire, engulfing not only the entire werewolf art community but reaching beyond to wolves who'd never shown interest in art before. The controversy blazed across social media platforms with the intensity of an Alpha territory scandal. Traditional ink painting circles debated furiously with modern art advocates. Even the prestigious New Zealand Academy of Art couldn't escape the drama, with students and faculty divided over one of their own graduates.Natalie's werewolf social media accounts, previously followed by a modest number of art enthusiasts, were suddenly discovered by thousands. Her comment sections flooded with abusive messages:"Fraud! Using pack connections to fake an art career!""Did you even paint any of these you

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Unleashing the Storm

(Third-person's POV)The tension in the room thickened as Claire's question hung in the air.Richard Silverstone shifted uncomfortably, the question piercing through his carefully constructed facade.Connor Redwood, oblivious to the deeper implications, began pacing frantically across the luxurious wolf-hide rug."Sister! What do we do now?" he exclaimed, his voice rising with panic. "If the Nightshade pack intervenes on behalf of Natalie Silverstone, our Redwood pack can't bear it!"His face had gone pale, fingers trembling as he ran them through his disheveled hair. The mere mention of the Nightshade pack was enough to reduce the once-arrogant Alpha heir to a nervous wreck.Lucas Silverstone nodded vigorously, his eyes wide with fear."It wouldn't even take the Nightshade pack's direct action," he added, voice quivering. "Just a whisper that Florian Nightshade's potential mate was bullied in Silvercrest Valley would spell disaster for both our packs."He swallowed hard, casti

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Calm Before the Storm

(Ethan's POV)Emma's silver Lamborghini Urus gleamed under the morning sun, the custom paint job catching every ray of light like a mirror. That car was a statement—loud, flashy, and completely impractical for someone who needed to move discreetly. But today, discretion was the last thing on Emma's mind.I followed behind in my black SUV, maintaining a respectful distance as she deliberately cruised down the main road of Silvercrest Valley with Natalie in the passenger seat. After their cemetery visit, they were heading to the exhibition hall, moving at a pace slow enough to be noticed by every wolf with functioning eyes."Are they trying to attract attention?" Charlotte asked from the passenger seat beside me, her red dress a vibrant splash of color against the SUV's dark interior."That's exactly what they're doing," I replied, drumming my fingers on the steering wheel. "It's part of Natalie's plan."Charlotte crossed her arms. "What plan? Why doesn't anyone tell me anything?"

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Brewing Trouble

(Ethan's POV)Emma Winters and Charlotte Reed stood nose to nose, their voices rising with each passing second. The intensity of their argument had created a bubble around them that none of us dared to penetrate."Emma Winters is not afraid of trouble, and Charlotte Reed is a grumpy she-wolf," I muttered to myself, watching these two formidable females clash like storm fronts. It was fascinating to observe. When these two powerful women disagreed, it was like watching planets collide. But when they aligned toward a common goal? They became a force that could make even seasoned Alpha wolves take a step back."The exposure should be immediate and widespread!" Emma shouted, slamming her fist on the table.Charlotte matched her intensity. "No! The artistic community needs time to absorb the significance! Rushed exposure will cheapen the experience!"The table rattled dangerously under their combined assault. Glasses wobbled, threatening to topple over and shatter on the floor of the

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   Exhibition Revelations

(Claire's POV)"Paintings."Boom—My brain exploded at Emma's simple response. I gripped the edge of the table, trying to maintain my composure while processing this bombshell. As vice president of the Silvercrest Valley Art Association, I should have known about any significant art exhibition happening in our territory. This wasn't just any exhibition – this was the grand opening of a massive new venue!Someone was deliberately going behind my back. Someone was challenging my authority.I took a measured sip of my moonlight herb tea, hiding my shock behind the delicate porcelain cup. "How interesting," I managed to say, my voice remarkably steady despite my internal turmoil.Harrison Cypress leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with opportunistic interest. "What kind of exhibition? Territory paintings? Modern art? Traditional wolf imagery?"Emma's lips curved into a small, knowing smile. "It's a privately funded project," she replied, her tone casual as if discussing the weather.

  • Alpha's Rebellious Luna   The Exhibition Announcement

(Emma's POV)Rumors spread through Silvercrest Valley like wildfire. A newly constructed art exhibition center, massive in scale and reportedly breathtaking in design, was preparing for its debut show. The whispers reached every prominent pack in the valley, sparking intense speculation."Who's behind it?" "Which pack has that kind of money?" "What artist could be worthy of inaugurating such a venue?"I smiled to myself as I heard these questions repeated in various social circles. Let them wonder. The reveal would be all the more satisfying for the mystery that preceded it.My phone chimed with an incoming message. Opening it, I saw an invitation from Claire Redwood to attend a dinner gathering at the most upscale venison restaurant in Silvercrest Valley. Claire, the Redwood pack's ambitious heiress, was hosting the valley's young elite wolves tonight.I couldn't help but smirk. Claire had been my unwitting bridge to my first major business success—an opportunity I'd snatched fro
